Re: Wii VGA mod?
I did some testing again. I have a component cable attached, native 480p YPbPr enabled, and convert the sync signals from green to HV sync signals with the EL1883. With just native 480p component I supply the HV signals to a VGA monitor and that works. When I connect one of the component leads to ei...

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable
Amazing to see this work, very impressive. Also great that you shared it with everyone the same time you had it working. Other members around here also were busy on it but rather kept it for themselves. From now on, would it be very hard to include DisplayPort as well? I wonder because since I have ...

Re: Wii VGA mod?
These are the files created by Extrems to force 480p/576p RGB. I don't know exactly what Extrems had in mind with them, perhaps they were just meant to test if 480/576p RGB is possible at all. At least I could try to connect the component wires directly to the CRT-TV composite input like Extrems did...

Re: Wii VGA mod?
http://www.gc-forever.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=881 Still have the files from Extrems, don't know if they were intended for 480p/576p RGB directly anyway. Extracting the H/V-sync signals when in regular 480i/576i RGB was no problem. But if I understand correctly, 480p/576p component uses th...

Re: BadAss Consoles .com going live!
Please note: International orders tend to overcharge on shipping calculations. However, a refund will be provide for the difference of shipping rate charged versus actual shipping cost for packages grossly exceding actual shipping value. Ah, right, missed that line. Really nice service to offer scr...

I asked him about that too, his answer :

I have decided to drop that concept in favor of other design plans for connectivity. Those will be available soon once ive had a chance to design.

Re: Dead Horse Beating: Gamecube Digital AV to direct HDMI
I doubt there is one atm. cvmagic hasn't posted on this topic for a couple months and I haven't seen anything from OzOnE in even longer, so I don't think things are close enough to being done yet for anyone to say. The projects could even be dead in the water, who knows except for them and anyone e...

Yeah, ofc, that would ruin the surprise.
Just now I see it's turnbased with others waiting in row, oops, sorry. Ok, let me claim the MEGA X then, I'm extremely curious . And the fourth place, please pass it to someone else by the lotery thing .

Whoops, missed that one. Yesss, I'm a winner, thanks :D :D :D. But I also received beautiful modding stuff from mega some time ago, so I feel a bit showered now (not sure if correct english) :). Still have to shoot some pics from my current setup. Though I'm very keen to know what resides in the Spe...

Re: Plug and play drive replacement adapter Idea
anyone who purchased the MEGAdrive (v1): 1. did you install the drive insert ?? 2. did you purchase V1 because you wanted a functional DVD drive to supplement your WKF/WODE ?? 3. did you purchase v1 only because you wanted an "easier" way to connect a WKF/WODE without a DVD drive?? 1. Not...

beating a dead horse, it's about the latency discussion ofc.
So not dead, maybe OzOnE or someone else will pick it up later.

Re: Plug and play drive replacement adapter Idea
Is this just similar to the MEGAwire "trick", or does it also provide audio streaming for ISOs playing from the SD card? Is it even possible right now to get audio streaming working for ISOs? Not correct pins for a GC-drive I believe, it's for Wii-Drive to Wii-motherboard, otherwise simil...

Re: Gamecube Digital AV to direct HDMI / VGA mod...
There certainly isn't a better solution available unless you want to mod your Wii hardware. Not entirely true. Extrems wrote some code for native VGA, only I couldn't figure things out. There wasn't much interest by then for it, I think: http://www.gc-forever.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=881&...

Ok, kits, cool. I like the Rift hype very much, people creating their own huge VR devices is interesting and fun to follow. Hope to step in one day. Do you by chance know how much latency is involved by HDMI>LVDS(or MIPI) switching? I think DP>eDP is close to, if not zero. Don't think it will be muc...

offtopic much: Btw, just found out 0z0ne is quite active in the Oculus Rift scene to get HDMI>MIPI done. As I'm looking for a DP>eDP board we are both contacting Rozsnyo (Daniel), small world, lol. Too bad these FHD 5-7" screens don't just use an eDP connection. Now eDP and MIPI are both in th...

I'd like to know how you get native VGA (RGB-HV) out of your Wii. Only can find these component to VGA cables online, not very satisfactory.BenoitRen wrote:What do you mean, "how"? Please be more specific.
