Re: Worklog: unnamed GameCube portable

Why didn't you put the tact switches on the end of the analog triggers ?

Re: GAMECUBE PORTABLE WORKLOG

Yea I thought the same thing. It should be more according to it's size. But all the ones I bought were less than 1500mAh and yes I filed a complaint and got my money back.

Maybe they've changed but really why would they.

Re: GAMECUBE PORTABLE WORKLOG

That battery is most likely the same as they've always sold. Less than 1500mAh last ones i checked. You probably won't get more than 30-40 minutes of battery life with it.

Re: Starting a new project. Advice appreciated!

You can connect them together with both pcb's still attached. Just parallel them. + to + , - to -. Attach the charge and load wires to the same spot where the charge pins are on the batteries already. I wrote a guide for using the Revc with custom reg's here: http://www.made-by-bacteria.com/forum/vi...

Re: Starting a new project. Advice appreciated!

Those batteries are fine but huge. Follow my guide here: http://www.made-by-bacteria.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=39 Use the part of the guide for 7.4v. And use the 5000mAh batteries in the guide. They are much smaller. You will basically get around 2 hours of playtime with 5000mAh batteries. ...

Neither did the Atari Nes Snes . I'm old school. Lol.

But you're right some GameCube games will need a wired controller.

Re: GC + N64 marriage

Nice project. Constructive suggestion: Add this http://scanlime.org/2011/03/cube64-gamecube-to-n64-adaptor/ to use your GC controllers for both consoles :D Funny you mentioned that. But I actually just went a simpler way. Let someone else do it : http://www.raphnet-tech.com/products/gc_to_n64_adapt...

Re: GC + N64 marriage

I do tend to view the "negation" of a perfectly good piece of hardware for conversion into something else as a negative thing. If the GBA Player was dead then all that was left was a good case? No qualms there at all. You must not be a modder then ;) The whole point of modding is to take ...

Flip cover. Guess I could. Don't know what the point would be unless just to make it look more "Gamecube" like. sometimes the best mods are the ones you cant see... take boob jobs for example.... 105lb / 47kilo girl with DDD bust size....you can see the mod and you know there was work don...

You're right, I'll never make one. But claiming I can't make one is beyond preposterous. And a troll is someone who says something you disagree with? I did say "most likely can't ". I left room that there was a chance that you could :) And sorry for calling you a Troll. But it does seem t...

I agree 100% And believe me I have been modding since 2001. And I moderate on two modding forums and am a member on a dozen. I know all about constructive criticism. But tell me , how does members negative opinions help or make a Modder better? Things like "it's ugly", "the LEDs are u...

Lol @ "welcome to a message board" I was on message boards befor they were on AOL. I joined this site because Ashen said it was a good site. But I am beginning to wonder. My mod has been posted on 12 forums and several dozen news sites. And the only real negative comments were here. Strang...

Re: GC + N64 marriage

Do you need to take it apart to play any N64 game made. No. Can I plug my own carts in? No. That is the end of it and adding qualifications such as that doesn't change I can't plug in my carts which in my eyes is a deficiency. You won't change my mind on that point short of an external cart slot an...

Re: GC + N64 marriage

It's not a real N64 player without a cartridge port. :( Let's see , it has a cart slot inside, it plays every N64 game with original hardware. Yep that makes it a real N64 player. Re: GC + N64 marriage

it's cool to see it all together and I do agree that it's what Nintendo didn't do :D the only pain is to see there is no border around the individual controller ports which makes it look like a copy/paste of parts, so to speak :P Once again there was no way. I could use a black permanent marker and...
