Re: Megadrive 5 + wasp = FIXED!!

I'm playing resident evil cvx right now and it plays great there are no lags or loading at all. Autoboot will not work with one iso if I put 5 or more then it autoboots every time or at least as many times I tried which was about 15 times when autoboot doesn't work autoload always does. If there is ...

Re: Megadrive 5 + wasp = really slow loading

no problem... when you get a chance can you provide a more clear pic... the last one is a little out of focus with a lot of glare which makes it difficult to see any potential issues... as for the autoboot / autoload, that depends on your SD card...there is currently no known way to determine which...

Re: Megadrive 5 + wasp = really slow loading

did you adjust the region setting switches on WASP to match your IPL? you are loading titles from the WASP slot right? pics of installation? im betting there is a soldering point not making great contact causing slowdowns... do you ever have problems booting? are you using clean isos (never been to...

Re: Review of megadrive v5

V5 was designed and targeted for portable console mods, not home consoles. it can be tricky to effectively install V5 or v6 in a home console, but it can be done as indicated in your review. good job performing that type of unsupported installation method. I was under the impression V.4 came pre-as...

Re: Review of megadrive v5

I was under the impression V.4 came pre-assembled. Keeping my fingers crossed because I purchased one. I didnt think it was all I saw was an install video which was fucking crazy soldering upside down. I would think it would just be the megadrive v4 I know for a fact it's very pricey for that type ...

Review of megadrive v5

Before I start let me say that this device saved me a lot of time and a headache. So how easy is it to install as easy as installing a xeno GC which is very easy but if you have an dol-cpu-60/70 you will run into problems with the megadrive hitting the c177 resistor and the pads won't line up. This ...

Re: BadAss Consoles .com going live!

Yeah, a switch. As long as you switch power on either device it /should/ work. My idea however was to remove the connector from the mobo and solder a second v5 to it. It would just need the FFC connector to be reverted if you know what I mean. That's not a bad idea but more megadrives more money. I...

Re: BadAss Consoles .com going live!

I remove my statement. The v5 seems perfect in terms of price. Wasp+v5+shipping is the cost of a wkf with shipping here. Also I have an idea to keep the DVD drive too. Just to answer your idea you have it is possible to keep megadrive v5 connected and the DVD drive you just take a power san...

Re: Make Your Own Component Cable?

Ok so after much fooling around with my cube I choose to put my unmodded DOL-001 to some use. I modded my DOL-101 and been having some problems with it I love the silver color of it so why not put the DOL-001 in the silver case! Well I thought it would be a walk in the park but I didn't notice that...

Re: Why some discs work and others don't?

Actually it would be less hassle to swap the laser assembly than to move the chip. Also I'd recommend moving the modded drive to one of your DOL-001. These have the digital out which might prove interesting for future mods. There are a couple guys selling full size DVD cases here, but they are expe...

Re: Why some discs work and others don't?

I heard Verbatim discs are superior to Riteks. Maybe try them ? Do Verbatim make mini dvd-r's? I use Verbatim dvd+r dl for my xbox360 games and I swear by them. The only reason I bought the Ridata is because everyone says (They are the discs to use for gamecube) Just checked they "did" make mini dv...

Re: Why some discs work and others don't?

Take the pot down to about 50 ohm and try all the discs again to determine if there is any performance improvement... I did that the laser wouldn't read anything I took the pot to all levels from 10 ohm to 350 ohm and everything in between I even got a new laser/ new (images)/ checked solder points...
