Re: hey

Would there be latency issues?
That's not a bad concept considering if you removed the gb player screws and matched thread pattern on longer bolts, it would secure itself nicely as a contained unit.
Posting pictures? I'd like to see

Re: Black and white video

Can't rule out the slight possibility. All wireless have lag, it's impossible not to, plus batteries could be low, dirty pins, stray solder bead causing miniscule disruption, ect..
Plausible, probable, anything is possible.

Re: Black and white video

Maybe your wavebird lag is a problem at boot. Try a different controller

Re: Racing wheel compatibility for non-racing games

Most racing wheel combos are just rewired 3rd party controllers.
Most exceptions are USB and for PS2 & 3

Re: Black and white video

Hold B while booting in that case. Most people say hold X/Y to force region although best results from holding B and forcing 60hz.

Re: Racing wheel compatibility for non-racing games

Any controller will work as the gamecube will just look for button presses. Gas - A, Brake - B, ect... If your racing wheel has start,R,A,B,X and Y controls you will be fine. Can even rewire it if you know how. Left Bongo Top - Y Left Bongo Bottom - B Right Bongo Top - X Right Bongo Bottom - A Clap ...

Re: Black and white video

Sounds like your region switch is wired either wrong or shorting.
The switch is unnecessary with a XENO anyways as it makes the GC region free.
I recommend removing the region switch and retesting.

Re: hey

Hello and welcome.
I don't see the purpose of using the XBOX'S hdd connector and why not just use the entire Gameboy enclosure to house the HDD wired from IDE-EXI.
Or am I missing something?

Re: Gamecube, silent fan mod!

I've never heard this sound but my main cube sounds like a jet taking off. Moves a ton of air though because of the external fan I installed due to space limitations of where I have it.

Re: Gamecube, silent fan mod!

I rather enjoyed the idea. 100 points for originality. Although at work today I thought about using passive laptop coolers like in netbooks and some Acer's. One for GPU, one for CPU and the ram if you see fit. Couple that with solid state media and you will have a completely silent GameCube that isn...

Because I just really want to. SSD's for everything plus it will have a handle.

Glad to hear you would like an affordable full sized shell as well.

Re: Gamecube, silent fan mod!

Just a straight fan would indeed blow on the drive but what if it was shrouded like the stock fan. Could sacrifice one, it would even screw on. Using a old rewards card would do the trick in terms of routing the air away from the drive and onto the Mobo, needing only a card and scissors.

I still think dual fan would be the cheapest and safest way without cutting up the Shell

Re: New full sized DVD shells for GameCube?

Well the goal is to remove the disk drive and run an SSD but that's not mainstream enough at this point in time plus xeno gc clone chips are still selling like crazy. With all the chipped cubes and the constant problem of mini DVD's I just figured I'd see.
Thank you for the input

Re: Game Boy Interface

Thanks Pargordius.
The iso worked wonderfully, tested on NTSC-U GameCube model 1 with XENO v2 and Gameboy player with Jap version of Bomberman Quest.
The colors and sound are fantastic. Plays way smoother than the original disk
