Re: Recording Music With Video Capture Devices?
...It sounds like getting what I need is either going to be expensive and/or time consuming, and it sounds like some of you may already have all the things I need, so here's what I'm going to do: if you already have the necessary equipment and an inexpensive means in which to play Nintendo Puzzle Co...

Re: Wii Component Cables
Some words of wisdom: don't be like me; don't buy component cables from eBay for 99¢. They suck and they actually make everything look worse than the regular 480i cables that the Wii comes with. Instead, buy more expensive component cables from an actual store. I did, and now my games look fantastic!

Re: Recording Music With Video Capture Devices?
When you say "mod", what exactly do you mean? Would I have to take my Gamecube apart and solder something? And how would I actually record the music once I get all this set up? As far as I know my computer only has 1 recording device, which is the microphone, but you say this isn't needed.

Re: Recording Music With Video Capture Devices?
There are a few ways to do this. I recorded music from SNES and N64 games by connecting the Composite Audio L/R from the console to a 3.5mm jack on the sound card. So you need a Stereo Composite female to 3.5mm (audio jack) cable. From there I plugged in the 3.5mm to my PCs sound card input and use...

Recording Music With Video Capture Devices?
Are there any devices out there that allow you to record game footage that provide CD-quality audio? Normally, I'd get my music from the internet like everybody else, but the music in question is unique in that it can't be ripped and it can't be recorded on the PC. I wish to acquire 3 songs from the...

:o Whoa, what post were you reading? If that was supposed to be a joke it wasn't funny. I was talking about why it's better to have patience and yeah, I was pointing out how long it's been because I'm really excited about it, but not once was I like "why don't they go faster so I can play it?&q...

Re: Questions About VC Emulation And SNES Emulators
I'm not a programmer, I don't know how that stuff works. I know that if it were possible to rip consoles as well as roms it would've happened years ago. I just find these thing interesting so I ask lots of questions. You'll have to forgive me.

Re: Wii64 2012
emu_kidid did give us an update. He said that it would be done "soon", but that "soon" means that if they were to actually work on it nonstop, but since they don't have too much time to work on it progress will be slow. I for one would say that the longer it takes to come out, th...

Re: Questions About VC Emulation And SNES Emulators
If people can rip roms why can't the same be done for consoles? How come they can just copy the games to the computer but the emulator has to be built from scratch?

Re: Questions About VC Emulation And SNES Emulators
So there's absolutely no way that they can just make the emulator a "more powerful" version of the SNES? They would actually have to alter roms themselves to make them perform better? And each WAD having an emulator that was specifically designed for it still seems wasteful. I wonder why t...

Questions About VC Emulation And SNES Emulators
I couldn't help but notice that the WAD for Super Mario Bros is 12.9 MB, while the original rom is 40KB. infact , all WAD files are much larger than the rom of the same game. Which brings me to my actual question. Did Nintendo make an emulator for each console, or did they make one emulator and then...

Re: Wii Component Cables
Everything at some point. And I was making a remark about Microsoft's decision to release the 360 before it was complete. Microsoft decided to start selling their console almost a year before the competition, and as a result, early 360s were riddled with bugs. It was Sonic 06 in console form.

Re: Wii Component Cables
I'm highly doubtful that Nintendo would program in an option that would crash the VC and WiiWare games, if that's what you were trying to convey. They're not Microsoft.

Re: Wii Component Cables
No. Not even if you buy the "Wii2HDMI" or whatever it's called, because the Wii itself can only go up to 480p making higher resolutions impossible. Take the SNES multitap for example. Yes, it allows games to have up to 5 players, but the problem with that is that most SNES games are for 1 ...

Wii Component Cables
The Wii has the option to change it's resolution from 480i to 480p, but only if you're using component cables instead of composite cables. The Gamecube has this option as well, but Gamecube component cables are not compatible with the Wii. Will the Wii component cables improve the graphics of Gamecu...

Well, if it'll be an inconvenience, then I don't want you to add my comments. Re: Wii64 2012
I have an issue with emulatemii.com, too. It won't post my comments. I enter my comment and then it tells me that my comment is "awaiting moderation", but it never actually gets posted. Does "awaiting moderation" mean that someone actually has to read it and put it onto the site?...

Re: Wii64 2012
I don't have any problems with Wii64 taking so long, but I take issue with the way that they worded their latest update. It says that the custom texture packs feature was almost complete, and then it says to expect a release after that part was finished. I don't know about you, but after reading tho...

Re: My Wiimote Shuts Off When I Load The Homebrew Channel
Is this a big set back? I'm just curious. I'm not in so much of a hurry to have it that I want to be ungrateful. You take as much time as you need. PS - Someone ported Super Bomberman 2 to the N64, but it's crashed on every single emulator I've ever tried to play it with. Hopefully Wii64's next inca...

Re: My Wiimote Shuts Off When I Load The Homebrew Channel
I wasn't saying it's their fault the apps don't work. I wasn't sure if they meant that the apps don't work with the new wiimotes or if the apps don't work in the new Homebrew Channel, and I was just remarking that if it was the latter, that I wouldn't want to switch out my old Homebrew Channel with ...
