Re: Homebrew HDD adapter for Gamecube Tutorial

So, I made some progress.
At least now I get an error message! :D

Error: FF

Any ideas?

Re: Homebrew HDD adapter for Gamecube Tutorial

Oh, Project Navigator :o What the heck, I'll download the whole package just to be sure I got it :P It's just that I don't feel the cpld is programmed correctly for some reason. And after reading yamaharacer's (I think) troubles and downloading his bluechip v9 .ucf and rechecking every pin with ever...

Re: Homebrew HDD adapter for Gamecube Tutorial

the changes you make to the .ucf file are not recognized until you rebuild the project. I had made this same mistake. see in "Building the firmware" at http://www.gc-forever.com/gchdd/build.htm Can somebody take a screenshot of this? I can't find it in iMPACT or the SDK ver. 14.1, and I suspect tha...

Re: thanks button (or similar)

No, please don't make this remind me of facebook D: (hater here).

There are features like that in many support and/or technical etc forums , and it's pretty handy because you can find almost immediately the post you've been searching.
Not a bad idea if it's implemented nicely.

Re: Media Player CE

Not worth it, since SDs and micro SDs are dirt cheap now.
Also, the GC can't output HD o_o (without even mentioning the decode part).

Re: Removing scratches from GC jewel with Brasso

You could also let a very high grit sandpaper (more than 1500) make the heavy job of getting rid of the deep scratches, and then finish up with brasso.

Takes less time. 8-)

Also works with plexi and acrylic.

Re: Open source Drivechip

Theoretically no changes are needed, since it is a drop-in replacement.
I already have ordered one, so I'll test it~

Re: Open source Drivechip

(necro)dropping a quick note: It seems that the ATmega8/L got a direct replacement that is cheaper and easier to find. In order to optimize the manufacturing process and to further reduce current consumption, an optimized version of ATmega8 has been introduced. The ATmega8A is a functionally identic...

Re: YAOSM -> GC?

Yeah, that's why I chose the YAOSM. Though after some research/googling I just confirmed what you and infact stated; not worth it. Just get an ATmega8 XD Well the main objective was to make a PIC based modchip for the gc, and the easiest way seemed to be frankencopying one of the existing open wii m...

Re: Viper GC -> Fatal Error

Some quick googling and... I know now completely what the issue was. It happend again to me, so I started investigating everything. It delt with the eject button . In the far back of the gamecube, there are two thin pieces of plastic, which are the lid sensor. Now, I had the top cover off, and I tur...

YAOSM -> GC?

Hi there. Firstly, I hope this thread doesn't belong here . So, on topic: Could the YAOSM work on the gamecube? Seeing that the wiikey can be reflashed into a XenoGC (ATmega8L - I know this is completely unrelated), I was wondering if something like that could work in this case too. (I guess that if...

Re: IDE-EXI Gerbers, Design Files, BOM, PDF and Program File

Have you considered maybe selling kits?
Unpopulated pcb + flashed CPLD.

This isn't for the price difference, but mainly the DIY part :3
