Re: Wii64 progress video from 2013
I believe emu_kidid made a merge, or at least took some of the improved work done by Not64 in the meantime. Not sure until there's official confirmation, though. That would be the most logical option. Grab Not64 dynarec improvements and add to it the Rice plugin changes that were planned for Wii64'...

Re: Wii64 progress video from 2013
Damn!
I thought this day would never come.
So with the Wii64's 1.2 Rice plugin additions and Not64's Dynarec improvements, could both be combined to achieve a Wii64 Out-Of-This-World Edition? :O
And here's hoping for a traditional September release.

Re: Game Boy Interface
Wait, so what's this exactly?
A GBA emulator of some sort or is it some sort of IP streaming app?
I got really confused, I only see a gbi.dol in there so I suppose it is a Wii/GC homebrew app but I can't test it right now.

Re: RE games (GC) widescreen hack like RE-mastered possible?
It still had the wrong aspect ratio though, didn't it? Zooming in both horizontally and vertically will not fix the distortion, it just makes everything bigger and you lose part of the picture. Yeah it still had an odd zooming. Horizontally it wasn't that much, though. I only wish I could set up th...

Re: RE games (GC) widescreen hack like RE-mastered possible?
So I finally tried loading up RE2 with the 4:3 resolution in a widescreen TV, then zoomed the image. Basically I had two options which zoomed the image quite ok: 1) Zoom (duh) 2) Cinema Both had apparently similar results (I couldn't notice any big difference). Although, the image was WAY more cropp...

Re: RE games (GC) widescreen hack like RE-mastered possible?
It makes no sense to me to create such 16:9 aspect ratio codes for RE0-RE3, because almost all widescreen TVs (incl. older CRTs) offer some kind of zoom mode, which gives the same effect as a 16:9 crop & zoom code. Anyway, here is a "real" 16:9 aspect ratio code for the PAL version of...

Re: RE games (GC) widescreen hack like RE-mastered possible?
There's basically three ways to make 4:3 games appear with the correct aspect ratio on a 16:9 display: - Increase the horizontal field of view (what most widescreen patches do) - Enlarge the image vertically and crop the top+bottom (your proposal) - Reduce the image horizontally and add pillarboxin...

Re: RE games (GC) widescreen hack like RE-mastered possible?
GC native is 640*528, the closet 16:9 resolution is 640*360 lower than NTSC 4:3 640x480p, PAL 4:3 576p being 540*576, PAL 16:9 is 720*576 and NTSC is 720*480. The only way to gain 16:9 with correct aspect ratio on a gc is to run it letterboxed fake 16:9 like re4 aka 16:6, PAL 720x384 or NTSC 720x32...

Whooopss...tueidj wrote:Your "16:9" images need more vertical cropping, they're only 16:10.
I think I forgot to crop them a little bit more.
We'll at least they give the idea of how the game would look like with the 16:9 cropped image.

RE games (GC) widescreen hack like RE-mastered possible?
I've been scratching my head over a way to hopefully have a Widescreen option for the Resident Evil games (CV not included since that one does have proper 3D models for environments too), and thought about this: Seeing how Capcom attacked the 4:3 to 16:9 issue for the Resident Evil Remake-Remastered...

Isn't there any cheat code possible to make you have all the Tingle Statues enabled/obtained in Tingle Island?
Would be really helpful for people that doesn't have access to the fairly obscure GBA cable for the Gamecube.

Re: Is it possible to hard code Widescreen code inside an is
Sorry to bump this thread. I found a cheat code that switches the buttons A and B for Megaman Anniversary Collection NTSC-U. I was wondering if the code could be hardcoded into the ISO. I don't know which one of the two is the right one, but here they are: G6QE08 Megaman Annivesary Collection (US) 0...

Blast Corps, GoldenEye, DK64, Banjo Tooie & Banjo Kazooie ALL run FASTER now (r. 26 122014) and are smoother. Conker loads and plays in interpreter mode. Turn sound off for semi-playable speed. Does DK64 still have the camera glitch with the new revision of Not64? I am out of town to test it my...

Really interesting...
I'm a little interested too in knowing how the code interacts directly with the HEX ROM values in the case of Mario Kart's code.

Might be interesting to see how each game reacts to each build.
