Re: "Parental lock" on Swiss?
Maybe manually lock the settings file as read only by hand on a computer?

Re: In dilly of a pickle if continue boot Swiss via disc
Yes, Picoboot can use the SD2SP2 (You'll still need SD Gecko for some older homebrews.
Anyways, you can get the Picoboot installed, it may be wiser. (And maybe rip off the Xeno in the same round.)
Everything can get along, each one has its own slot.

Yes! Lucky you are, there is now picoboot, if you still don't want to set up a game exploit. (you can run GCMM on a Wii through letterbomb exploit to set this up)

You'd better try to boot a game from power on, and try to solve this issue before trying to install a chip.
You may have added issues to the case.

Re: Audio drift with GCHD ?
Isn't this problem more TV set related? I have a poor quality clone, maybe poorer than Bitfunx's, and never noticed such audio issue, although I'm on v2.4 FW. No need to bash poor quality gear when it does the job. My SD2SP2 is made of trashpicked materials, and I never had any issue, apart from get...

Re: How did GameCube render GBA video and audio?
I do too, but you have to choose something beefed enough to handle data flow from and to GBPlayer, from controllers (SNES/BT/SWitch), to HDMI with zoom and all the display enhancements… There used to be a time where such FPGAS where too expensive compared to GC or GBA hardware, they are becoming mor...

Re: How did GameCube render GBA video and audio?
You may find the GBA display specs around, and comparing to the GC's High speed port (YAGCD is the key word to find about it), you may end up finding that it has wayy enough bus width and throughput to transfer all those datas from GBPlayer hardware to GC. If the GBPlayer is really the full featured...

Isn't there a homebrew menu item to forward to Swiss around there?
I think I have seen something like that on github, although I didn't manage to test it, as my Wii isn't FW modded, and it can't be run straight from the letterbomb exploit.

Ok, so you got far in the process. :? I personally add a little soap in the cleaning process, bad finger grease can sometimes resist to water only. Did you check your discs for surfaces separation? If it's really only scratched surfaces, maybe you can try a polishing "disc restoring" machi...

I'd like to add: Would ripping with a Wii lead to less reading errors/fails?
I experienced unsuccessful dumps just after disc cleaning, cleaning once more with attention did the job.

Welcome, go for the bluetooth external module, they are cheaper, and lend your brother's hand for internal sd2sp2 mod instead.

Configuration file save location actually is a setting itself, so you can set it to SP2.
Strange to see such a behavior in widescreen mode, it's a 16:9 setting in the game, or did you set it via SWISS?

Re: SDLoad (Slot A and B)
Is your SD card really non-HC? Is it Fat16 formatted? Waiting for a better solution, you can still run SWISS from Slot A, then launch backups from Slot B or SP2 with memcard in Slot A as you'll have to swap sd cards anyways. :? Don't forget to set it up correctly, so as not to write SWISS settings a...

Double-check the hard and soft requirements in the link emu_kidid suggested. Keep in mind this method is from before the SP2 and Save Exploits way were discovered, so you can only use an SD adapter in memcard Slot A, the AR Memcard has to be in Slot B. I've heard of 2GB cards that were SDHC, don't k...

Re: Swiss and gamecube Microphone
It's essentially straight wiring, you only have to choose the way you can access the µSD, side slot is appreciable if you have a GBPlayer, IMHO.
Some dolaunchers don't support the Microphone in their last revision, and may hang at boot, so you need to plug it only when SWISS is already launched.

Do you mean lines like on the bridge in Twilight Princess's intro? Nothing we can do about it. Or at least I still wonder how.
It can also be caused by alpha blending and/or picture stretching, try alpha blending disable and vertical resolution auto or 1:1.

Doom ports usually don't come with WADs included, for copyright reasons. So you have to dig around for them and find the way to get them found by the game engine.

Npdp can stand for anyrhing else, plus you don't see dol or rvl-something, nowhere any handwritten sticker. Looking at the components geometry and connectors size/type, I would have bet for a SCSI controller board. Some specific wiring with connectors in the GC flavor may have argued in favor of the...
