Re: Change Games Video Output Resolution?
So is it at all possible to change the internal rendering resolution of games to 640x480? I have been playing a little with a hexeditor and Luigi's Mansion and found the values 640480 [80 02 E0 01] (1 time) and 480640 [E0 01 80 02] (also 1 time). I searched in the whole ISO file I tried altering the...

Re: Swiss Nightly Build
Autoboot solution has been discovered by andre104623 and works with every sd-card. If I remember correctly a ''lid switch pin'' of the megadrive board need to be connected to ground, and then connected to the other ''lid switch pin''; in short basically ground between the 2 pins when soldering them ...

Re: Serial Port #2
My sig actually has my dream mod regarding the gamecube serial port 2, but I reckon it will remain a dream haha. It would basically turm the cube into a wii (along with a system upclock) though I guess that is not possible. On a sidenote, anyone knows the actual speed of serial port 2? Never could f...

Re: Submit Compatibility Issues Here
I remember coming across this very issue regarding Twilight Princess (NTSC version) in an older revision of swiss when played trough SD gecko (for testing purposes). Apparently the red and blue colours are swapped (green is fine). I just tested it now again, and it seems the problem only occurs when...

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable
Ah ok, fair enough. But wouldn't it result in a slightly more accurately scaled image (both height and width times 2.25, in 4:3 tv mode, would scale perfect in future 8k tv's)? If the fov is 16:9, or slightly altered because of gamecube pixels not being square, it shouldn't appear stretched when sel...

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable
Our savior returns :D . Quite the dedication there, amazing work; GCvideo is quickly becoming the standard to HDMI-mod post SNES nintendo consoles :) On another note, would it be possible for games that use the 640x480 rendering buffer such as smash melee, to display without black borders? If I am c...

If you are on a newer version of swiss, you can also press the L button during boot; swiss will be in 480i even when you have a component cable inserted.

Ah so does hardcode mean it is possible in theory, but would require a complete overhaul of the code?

Re: Change Games Video Output Resolution?
So I have been thinking about this a little more and, as previously discussed, anything above the internal framebuffer would not be possible without ''tiliing'', correct? So the next best thing would be using the full framebuffer (NTSC) of 640x480 for rendering. Now is my question: would it be theor...

Re: Change Games Video Output Resolution?
The internal framebuffer has a maximum size of 640x528, so forget any ideas about increasing it. Dreams crushed  Though I have red somewhere on this forums it supports 1024x640 in YUV 8-bit 4:2:0 mode. Here is the link (2nd post): http://www.gc-forever.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2583 Not to ...

Re: Change Games Video Output Resolution?
That is an interesting thought you have and I will be extremely interested if any of the pro's can elaborate on this matter. The thought of something similar occurred to me as well. If it is okay with you I will ask here since it may be of relevance. Would it be theoretically possibles to change the...

Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable
That settles it; very thorough analysis, as expected of you
So I assume GCvideoDVI would potentially be even faster (not accounting other factors hdtv/upscaler etc.) due to no conversions?

Re: Swiss Nightly Build
Rumble works fine for me as well using swiss 342 with SD gecko. Tested both Smash and Double Dash. On a sidenote, the colours on Smash were not as they should be; yellow was blue/cyan. My setup is a PAL gamecube (so IPL 1.0) with component cables, using NTSC rips. However, Mario kart had correct col...

Awful to read, especcially since its someone else at fault. I will never understand people who decide to control a verhicle while being drunk. Anyway, nice to read you remain to have a positive spirit and best of luck to you.

Re: Controller ports not working
Did you remove the plastic grey front off of the PCB to take a proper look? I'm sorry to say I can't help you any further, as my technical knowledge is rather limited. If you post a picture of the front- and backside of the PCB, maybe someone else can chime in. Is every port in non-working order (me...

Re: Controller ports not working
Is it possible for you to swap the front panel pcb with the one in your working cube? Or swap the presumably broken front panel pcb into your working cube?
If it is indeed the front panel pcb that houses the controller ports, we may be able to isolate the issue.

Re: Wasp fusion question
Do you have multiple gamecubes? Or do you still have the disc-drive to back-up your games? Cleanrip (look in the wiki) is a iso ripper using your own games. In order to back-up your games using cleanrip you need the following: - A normal unmodded gamecube intact with disc drive. - An additional way ...

Re: Wasp fusion question
Swiss can read up to 64 GB of SD cards, higher capacity cards still work, however, swiss only ''sees'' the first 64 GB of the card, making the rest useless. I think swiss supports SD/SDHC/SDXC class10 SD cards, but please note higher class SD cards do not benefit from the speeds increase as the read...
Re: Hi all
Welcome and enjoy your stay. Look at the the recommendation thread for games to play, but be aware of GC prices, their sky-high. Even your ordinary game can be 30 dollars something.
