Re: Cloning the GameCube component cable

Just ordered parts and PCBs for another go at the GCvideo-lite 0.9. Got the DACs from mouser and everything else from digikey just because I'm used to ordering parts from them. Nuts that the DAC costs more then the FPGA. So I'll have every cloned component device made so far after this build and Shu...

Re: Shuriken video v2 build with xc3s200a

Ah ok that was the same spot for the SPDIF output when the XC3S50A was used. Does this also have the SPDIF out as well I mean I won't really be needing it but just nice to know in the future I have to admit that I didn't check where SPDIF was on the 3S50 - I just chose the point closest to the Game...

The pad snoop input is on what pin of the FPGA? This one: http://www.gc-forever.com/forums/download/file.php?id=1964 shuriken-padsnoop.jpg I have a picture here of the board from OSH-park. Ok everything is on order including a few other projects that will be on the back burner for now. The pad snoop input is on what pin of the FPGA? I have a picture here of the board from OSH-park. Once I get everything built and working I will share the project on OSH park so no one else has to conve...

Re: Shuriken video v2 build with xc3s200a

I dont know coding that well so I'm asking anyone here with experience to give me a few pointers to get this to work properly. Since that is more or less exactly what I soldered into my main Cube, I just added the modified files and the bitstream data for it to the repository. The pad snoop input i...

Shuriken video v2 build with xc3s200a

I'm building a few more shuriken videos but this time I'm going to build a v2 design and with a xilinx spartan 3a xc3s200a instead of the xc3s50a. Now looking at both datasheets of both FPGA's the pinout matchs 1:1 with each other. I don't see anything different from the 2 besides cost and compacity...

Re: GameCube DVD drive power requirements

So I was on my way home from work today, and I wondered if it might be possible to hook up both a Wasp and the drive together with a megadrive V5. In my installation, rather than removing the DVD connector, I used a Dremel to grind the pins flat on the underside of the board, in case I ever wanted ...

Re: Need help to install a WASP (WiiKEY Clone) into a gamecube

i say try 1.3 just for testing since 1.4 and 1.5 have some updates which you might need....or 1.3 might work just find for you with no issues....give it a try and see what happens... Thanks. For some reason I thought there was something goofy with GameCube support with 1.3 but I'll try it. With no ...

Re: Autoboot every time even without SD card (Confirmed!)

http://imgur.com/pZ9HpXq.jpg Apologies for the blurriness, but you can see that the right hand lid pad is connected to ground (albeit on the other side of the board), the left side is disconnected as that connects to the WKF, P29 connects to ground and I'm grabbing 3.3V from a nearby cap. Nice inst...

Re: Autoboot every time even without SD card (Confirmed!)

Alrighty, so I tried this out for the first time today, because I have an 32gb micro SD card that wouldn't autoboot, but would autoload. I installed a switch because it happened to be there already, and just in case connecting to pin 29 ever becomes necessary: http://puu.sh/kAmQ3/4170282f43.jpg It ...

Re: Yet another USB Gecko clone

I needed one so I made one. https://sr.ht/SQQ9.jpg Confirmed working but I didn't test it much. Build at your own risk. I had to remove the (never used) 16 bit commands to make the code fit into the CPLD, but I'm thinking of redoing the whole protocol from scratch anyway to be more efficient. There...

Re: SD Gecko speed

So I've been fiddling with my newly WKF modded cube for a few days now, and one thing I have noticed is loading anything from my SD Gecko through Swiss is incredibly slow. Sound and video jitters, and sometimes, during certain game scenes, green artifacts will flash on screen for a split second. Ev...

Re: Autoboot every time even without SD card (Confirmed!)

By the way, the autoboot with no SD card in the Wasp slot doesn't work for me. It needs to have an SD card in there, even if it has nothing on it, in order to boot up. EDIT: I should clarify, with the lid switch jumpered to ground, and no SD card in the Wasp slot, it just shows a black screen for a...

Googling brought me here and even after reading all this still pretty confused. Is anyone selling the hardware mods for this? Since from what I read it can't be done in just the cable. Ya I know they are blank PCB. Digikey is my go to place for everything that has to do with PCBs or components. Compon...

Re: Starting my portable build (3DGC)

Cutting the board is fine, I was talking about the case. Since your case modding skills aren't great it would suck if you ruined the case. At any rate, good luck. :) Oh no the case is pre-cut like everything. I don't have to make any cuts to the case the SD slots are there, buttons, triggers, DC in...

Nice case. Please don't add any cuts. :P Unfortunately i must. The case was designed for a medium to max cut so i really dont have any other choice. It will be ok max safe cut isnt that bad. I will extremely careful and sand everything. I take it you don't like board cuts i dont really ether but wh...
