Re: first time modding
I would wonder about the XENO menu, Forcing region or framerate ect.. If nothing else has button mappings at startup then you will be fine.

Re: LOOKING TO BUY: GameCube Nyko Airflo Controller! Please Help!
Best thing to do is go on Amazon and have it notify you when it's back in stock, it should work with used items. Second is set up a Google notification alert, it should notify you if one comes up on eBay or a forum for sale. Good luck

Re: Xeno GC not working?
To help prevent this in the future. When putting the top shell back on, open the lid. This eliminates force put to the switch thus no chance of breking.

Re: wii to gc while capturing footage
Indeed. The video output by the GameCube HDMI cable can handle video conversion way better then the Wii as the GameCube component port was made to power a chip inside the Nintendo component cable which in turn can help power the HDMI adapter, not the case in the Wii

Re: wii to gc while capturing footage
Have you tried component? It's the best WII video output though I would recommend the GameCube HDMI cable as it's the best possible solution

Re: Best way to play GC Games
Oh okay. I would love a viper chip but cannot find one so I don't have experience but I swear remembering something about mappings for the BIOS. Thank you for the correction.
Still think plugable HDMI would be a all around better option though

Re: How do I fix my GameCube?
Wouldn't the power brick of shorted before the fuse would blow? A fuse would blow due to amps not volts. The power brick converts the voltage before the unit, but anything is possible I guess.

Re: Which mini dvd-r disks?
Yes this is true. Burning at lower speeds is better, x2 is the best if possible. I've had issues burning Wario World, it would crash constantly. Same with Mario party 6, 7 and Crash Nitro I believe, until I started to use Linux Mint to burn. I forget who told me about burning with Linux but it total...

Re: XEN8GC install issues
I'm thinking it's a resistance issue with a lead somewhere on the board to the soldering points for the chip as I have 10 model 1's now and the chip doesn't work for 2 of them. I'm thinking of trying a different 3v or even a 5v to check for slight power loss somewhere else but I've heard of the alte...

Re: Best way to play GC Games
Wouldn't the GameCube HDMI adapter work better then a internal HDMI mod because of the setting for the adapter it's self with use of a remote that wouldn't interfere with controller mappings for the Viper chip or am I missing something?

Re: GameCube HDMI Adapter
The composite cable chip information was dumped a while back so It was only a matter of time. It's pretty much the internal HDMI mod, just plugged into the back of the system.
As for if it was hard. probably not, very time consuming though

Stepdown board definitely and just get rechargable AA batteries for your wavebird as it's not worth destroying

Any will work if you have a good burner and burning with a Linux distro works better for unknown reasons.

Re: XEN8GC install issues
I don't know why but I have some drives that just will not accept the XENO clone chips from China. Have taken them out and they work on other drives so I'm at a loss on this. I plan on testing on the alternative install points on the other side of the drive as I recommend you should try if cleaning ...

Re: How do I fix my GameCube?
Most likely your power supply overloaded and burned the motherboard. I have extra Motherboards, I could send you one of your have the tools and know-how of how to replace it but you will need a new power supply as I would not try yours again. So get a new power supply and see if it works, if it stil...
