Re: GC-Forever Distribution Development
Well, farters framebuffer hack just makes a difference in speed when only small parts of the screen are changed, so a no-go for games/emulators... My name suggestion "QLi" :) btw. I already have done some tests with archlinuxppc on cube, maybe we can work something out that can be used on ...

Paul.str: It has, but a new firmware has to be released. emu_kidid and isobel (-> gc-linux) worked on it lately.

The wode has a launcher app included and you can also specify your own "config iso".

Re: Adding SDHC Support
noldor, the sd driver is a bit messy i think, it adds things to the (outdated) mmc compatibility layer and should be rewritten completely. i also had some issues with it when i tried to add sdhc support (i don't remember how far i got, but it recognized the card and then some kind of kernel panic). ...
Re: Swiss 0.2
WiiWizards: you have to use a recent svn build and change the behaviour ("Force No DVD Drive Mode" and/or "No Disc Mode") in the options.

Re: Possible to make a BBA Style IDE-EXI?
sumas, well yagcd has not been updated for ~6 years, so there might be some bugs, but you can see here it is an EXI port.
So it could be used with usbgecko, memcard, sd, ide-exi, bba, vua and some other SPI-compatible hardware (given that we have/create a compatible software)

i'd recommend using a multimeter and go through all pins (wkf <-> main board) with that wiring diagramme and also check the switch

Re: Swiss on GC with Viper Extreme
emu_kidid: well, i think if i only take the basic features (video, exi access) and code up sd(hc) from scratch, i could use various sources (libogc, gcos, costis' library, cheqmate's stuff...) and create a small file.
But that is not feasible for me (at least not right now).

Re: Swiss on GC with Viper Extreme
sdload was afaik coded in pure assembly and therefore is so small... it is possible to do a recode of it, but i dont know enough assembly to do this (...maybe if we get the source ;-)) it may also be possible to just copy the needed functions from libogc and use a custom libfat or tinyfatfs to archi...

Because the wiikeyfusion is a wii modchip and waits for the wii drive lidswitch signal to activate.

Re: Swiss on GC with Viper Extreme
I dont think so, liquitt
But anyways. I did some testing... the generated executables by devkitppc are just too big, when they are linked against libogc and libfat. Even when compressed with dollz3 the resulting cbp is just too big.

Re: Show off your Cube!
depends on what the converter board does. mine still answers to the cube input discovery sequence, if no keyboard is plugged. so it supports hotplugging of the keyboard.
so when i want to perform this mod, i would need a switch to disable the power supply of the board.
