Re: GC and HDMI
In terms of functionnality, all are based on GCVideo firmware, which will do the job pretty well, the only difference you'll see is the finish and price for those you'll find on the Chinese market: Bitfunx/Kaico: Pros: full size hdmi connector, metal based digital AV connector, professionnal looking...

Re: Submit Compatibility Issues Here
Hello, as I would probably ever use barely half of the 2043 blocks my main memcard has to offer (due to the 127 max memfiles limit, and the average memfiles size), and the boot forwarder I used to use tend to crash if anything else than SD adapter or memcard is in slot B (ie: Microphone or ethernet ...

Re: I need blank DVDr panda disc
Do you know SWISS can re-load a newer version off an SD card right after boot? So you don't really need an up-to date SWISS disc. Maybe it wasn't possible with older releases. Now if your laser still reads oem discs and you're ok with hardmodding (I assume so, as you already have a Xeno or something...

What happens if you boot the thing with analog cable only, then plug the gcvideo device (so that you are in interlaced video)?

Re: Show off your Cube!
That's my main gamecube, I have a couple of different ones. Is it a bad camera picture, or is the orange cube case translucent (bad material, 3D printing gaps or whatever)? Also, curious about the analog trigger behavior on those BT controller substitutes. I recently bought a BlueRetro receiver so ...

Not sure such a poll would be consistent on long term basis, we had better ask year of birth so that more than ten years later, one doesn't see his answer getting totally off.

Re: GameCube Memory Card & SD Gecko Diagrams
I was wondering, as MISO and MOSI are supposed to be common, with all slave devices connected to them in parallel, one might be able to only pick the SP2 CS pin by soldering on the MB, then use every other pin from the SP1 to get an SP2 on a DOL-101. Do somebody know if the Int pins are common to bo...

For further reference, once Mono is installed, it is pretty straightforward: You just type in "mono", followed by the same command you would type on Windows command prompt: ConvertToNKit.exe with its full path form the "users" folder (you can just drag and drop from Finder to the...

Re: Wii stuffed into a Gamecube case conjecture
While you can trim the MB, you can also patch the FW so you won't need the Wiimote to startup the thing, but it's quite useless as you'll end up loosing digital AV out, GBPlayer connectivity. To beef up the GC, just wait for some people are thinking about adding 16 or 32MB to the system. It may impr...

I chose the Pal version so we have localised langage, and this is only for casual gaming, essentially for my son, and I don't think he would compete ever. He's got bad training, with the TV adding four frames lag.

Re: Any games you prefer the d-pad on?
Most of the GC games I played back in the days utilised the pad for distinct use then the stick, so I never really had the opportunity to compare. Now I have emulators and GBPlayer on my cubes and rather say the opposite: the pad on the gamecube is so "meh" that I use the stick more often ...

Re: That myth that the discs spin backwards...
That is misundertanding that for better reading speed, GC discs are filled from the outside to the inside, so this is kinda "backwards, to some respect, though files might still be read from the inside to the outside, individually, I dunno. Anyways, the discs are spinning just the same as any o...

Re: Full US ISO's
I have found that the nkitted games I happen to have fit for an average 1GB each, see how many of them your library count.(I don't have dual disc games) Also, found it may be useless to want to get so many games on a big SD (bigger than 128GB), as you'll have to swap memory cards anyways, the file s...

Re: Was the Gekko influenced by the Intel 486?
Ok, so it's more like: bad idea to overclock it because problems can happen. You have to see it the other way: the CPU can support a said frequency, the question is: what's the cost/benefit ratio of getting slower Ram with higher divider, wether getting faster Ram with lower divider. If most of the...

Re: Was the Gekko influenced by the Intel 486?
It probably is a choice for convenience or maybe optimisation. In the power PC line, there used to be all kind of dividers, on Macs, for example, from 2 to 7 and even more on third-party accelerator G3 cards, I think I 've even read about non-integer divider on the 604ev daughterboards, don't ask me...

Re: Adding zoom to GBISR .cli
Don't know for the CLI, but afterwards, you can rename a copy of GBISR with the dedicated .cli (renamed accordingly), while I'm not sure autoexec "buttons" boot forwarder supports .cli, I always only used it for default boot option.

Not sure the code has to be modded, especially if it works with real hardware. Dolphin has better get a patch so it behaves closer to whatever it is supposed to emulate.

Re: Swiss version 0.6 is released
Also noticed that Dolphin is always auto showing the 50/60Hz selection screen, when on swiss we need to often press and hold B. Would this be something which can be integrated in swiss to always show the video mode selection screen? Just set game's general video mode to 480p, and SWISS's video mode...
Re: FCEU GX
As many consoles of the times, in previous and next generations, the NES didn't physically have four controller connectors, so you had to connect something else, somehow, to achieve this. In emulators, you often have to set the four players option to get this additional hardware emulated too. For FC...
