Tales of Symphonia is actually a recent regression (unless you were using the Broadband Adapter, then it already behaved this way). I don't expect this to improve.

This game has 2 revisions in the NTSC-U region. Make sure you're using the correct save for your disc's revision.

We support up to 38 fragments. Something is horribly wrong if your files have more than 30 fragments.

Boot into SWISS with GCPlug (GCVideo) as the video cable (576p), choose SMS ISO, set local video mode forcing to 480p, save on the SD, launch the game, SWISS prompts that 576p is selected, press B at launch to choose 60Hz mode, check on the TV, 480p activated from then. It has a workaround for YPbPr only. HDMI and RGB outputs still suffer. GCVideo-DVI v3.0 addresses this.

GCM is the official file extension for GameCube disc images, but people commonly use the ISO (9660) file extension.

Datel's adapter is the worst quality around and seem to cause issues when driving SD cards at 27 MHz.
Well, tables have columns. And this table has a column labeled "Boot GCM/ISO".

SD Gecko and SD2SP2 have the exact same compatibility and performance. Action Replay cannot use the SD2SP2, but any other adapter will work.
