Re: Mini Guide - How to install megalomaniac's MEGAudio boar
Now you will need to drill a hole into the metal sielding that covers the top of the GC motherboard for the wires to come out of, like the one in the picture below that I had made a while ago for a previous mod. It may also be a good idea to add a grommet to the hole once drilled to keep the wires s...

Mini Guide - How to install megalomaniac's MEGAudio board
I received a MEGAudio board from megalomaniac and it took a bit of brainstorming of how and where to install it. I didn't mind because I enjoy doing challenging mods which you have to put a bit of thought into so this was the perfect mod for me to sink my teeth into. Anyway I thought it would be a g...

Re: Does anyone have any idea why the colours in games look
I'm still struggling to be honest even with that info. Really need a more detailed description of the odd colours or a photo. Have you tried changing any setings on your TV? Like: Black level Gamma Colour temp Brightness Contrast Backlight If the colours look odd then it could be one of the top thre...

Re: Does anyone have any idea why the colours in games look
Could you give a bit more info, like type of TV you tried at your friend's and the type of TV that you have and what type of connection from the GC to the TV or maybe a snapshot with a digicam of a game showing the odd colours and intense whites.

Because Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex uses audio streaming.
If you want to play any games with audio streaming then you will need to play them from disc.

Re: Alternative programmer design for DIY IDE-EXI
How long does it take to program the xilinx with one of these parallel port programmers by the way?
I was just wondering if it would be feasible to use some pogo test pins to connect it to the ide-exi whilst programming instead of having to solder it.

Re: Plug and play drive replacement adapter Idea
Very interesting... I wonder, if the problem with cleanrip is now gone then is there a chance that the problem with the WODEs internal ripping feature may be gone also? I can't check this myself as it seems that my wireporn suffers the same problem that yours did and neither cleanrip or the internal...

Re: Who's getting one?
I was really tempted but now I think that I will wait until the price comes down a bit or pick up a preowned one sometime next year. Call me a tight git but I just can't justify spending that much on a console that will still be in the shops for years to come at a lower price. Besides I still have a...

OK I'll give the PAL iso try and see if I can get those MD5s for you. EDIT: The PAL iso worked like you said. I just assumed that if the NTSC one didn't work then the others wouldn't. After a couple of attempts to dump it, it keeps getting stuck on 99%. I'm on my third try now and I will let you kno...

What ISO of swiss are you using because my WODE refuses to mount the 896KB ones and for some reason it sees the NTSC one as NTSC-j.

I still can't work out why I had to lower my pot so much. Maybe it has something to do with my wireporn.

Re: Has anyone tried connecting a WODE and DVD drive in para
The only other problem that I had with audio streaming as far as I remember is bad connections. I think it was one of the audio bus connections, pins 1, 3 or 5 on the Gamecube. Give those connections another check, you never know. Have you tried audio streaming with the WKF yet? If it works on the W...

Re: Has anyone tried connecting a WODE and DVD drive in para
I thought that I had a slow FPGA at first because the WODE would always get stuck on the loading screen with firmware above 1.28 but it turned out to be the regulator that I was using for 3.3v. Once I replaced the regulator for a better one or took 3.3v from the drive board firmware above 1.28 worke...

Re: Wii DVD/Wiikey Fusion/WODE + GC Portable Discussion
Guys, I need help. I installed the Wiikey Fusion on my DOL-101 NTSC-USA Gamecube. However, after play a few minutes, the game freezes. I already tested a lot of games and all of them are freezing after 3-15 minutes. Could someone tell me what's going on? Thx. Check and then recheck all your connect...

Bit worried about those solder blobs on the drive board plug connectors though. Have you tested for any bridged connections?

Re: First Gamecube Portable - Worklog
The resistor and cap in the PAL composite cables are not absolutely needed just for testing. You should be getting video regardless. Can you confirm that both chips are getting warm when powered on, along with the ram chips? Can you show a closer up pic of where you're pulling composite from? Good ...

Re: First Gamecube Portable - Worklog
That's strange as I also just took a cable apart before my last post to make sure that I was correct and there was a small PCB with the cap and resistor on. Was it the official composite cable that you took apart or a straight through RGB scart cable. The straight through RGB scart cable only has th...

Re: First Gamecube Portable - Worklog
The composite line on PAL GCs needs a 220uf electrolytic capacitor in series ( positive side of the cap towards the console ) and a 75 ohm resistor connected to ground. If you have a spare GC composite cable that you don't need then you could take apart the plug that goes into the console and rob th...

Put me on the list for a stand alone internal fiber optic board please megalomaniac.
Also just out of curiosity will the a/v boards still have the option of VGA built in or was that option dropped from the board design?
