Re: Where to buy 8cm DVD-R/DVD+R GC-compatible discs these d
My two cubes love these: Verbatim Mini-DVD 5 euros for 10, and they come from a brand with a name, without shipping costs ofcourse :). Also I have the media code, which is a form of CMC (CMC AG 05 or something). They work better than the Dealextreme ones (handles higher ohm) and have less errors wit...

Re: How do I make my own "Plug and Play" Wiikey Fusion?
I have a question though, which are the ground and the others the 5 volts? From looking at the pictures that you gave that they would be to the right. I would need to know which on the left provide the power. This picture http://bit.ly/MNrxzI shows that the 4 red are 5 volts. I need some help here,...

Re: How do I make my own "Plug and Play" Wiikey Fusion?
I have a gamecube (obviously) and it has a broken dvd drive. I plan to eventually (that means maybe never) make a Gamecube Portable. So I bought a wii key fusion to put into my gamecube, but I don't want to have to solder on all of the wires to the motherboard as I am not too good at soldering. If ...

Re: GC + WODE + DVD-Drive -> What to do?
Nono, both WKF and WODE are drive replacements. Recently emukidd managed to get Swiss on WKF. As far as I know, when you want DVD-drive, only WODE is a possibilty. But you said you are playing backups, because of the Qoob? Why dont play them from the SD card instead then :). If you still want to pla...

From WODE, so you boot a virtual DVD. Or better, flash Swiss to WKF : viewtopic.php?f=25&t=926&hilit=flash+swiss+wkfBenni wrote:HM, and how can i use SWISS without booting a DVD?

Great work on widescreen! Not from disc, but will it work from WKF? And did someone test Super Smash Bros Melee already .

Now Swiss loads .iso from WKF SD-cards, can audio from audiostreaming games work due to Swiss?

Re: First Gamecube Portable - Worklog
Swiss WKF-boot, wow. I thought when selecting WKF (or Wode) in Swiss you can view the .gcm files that are on the WKF SD-card. So that means games will work from the Swiss compatibility list and eventually with working audiostreaming, but maybe it is working entirely different .

No, only MX chip can bring progressive: http://gamesx.com/wiki/doku.php?id=av:nintendodigitalav. Doesn't mean you can still choose Progressive, but will be just NTSC.

Re: Freq Convertor
If you search a little further: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=770
Otherwise you run into: http://elm-chan.org/works/sc/report.html
Then a GBS-8220 can be useful for both your N64 and GC, but progressive will give the best picture.

Re: Freq Convertor
From your list many games will work in NTSC some way. Now you want to go from composite to VGA??? With a component to VGA cable (which won't work in most monitors anyway)? If you want RGB signals for your monitor, you need a GameCube PAL and SCART (RGB) cable. For 480p RGB signals, to get it to work...

Re: Digital AV connection (HDMI)
3) I was expressing myself badly. I meant that the lag is (supposedly) comparable to that of hooking your GC to a LCD with the composite cable. I'm still sceptical whether the lag really doesn't exceed GC+CRT lag. You still use CRT for that reason :). For Counter-Strike I understand, but why not :P...

Re: Digital AV connection (HDMI)
Well, you won't get a digital video signal from the Gamecube. Even since the video is transferred digital before the MX chip, I think without precise documentation about the MX, nobody can come up with this. And Dolphin: 1) Yes, working native controllers is an expensive investment. 2) My C2D E6750 ...

Re: Digital AV connection (HDMI)
HDMI is digital and component is analog, although term digital port is a bit confusing here. At some point when capturing analog video it needs to be converted to digital, so the weak point is this conversion. For your needs the best would be component or VGA in 480p, enough PCI cards do a decent jo...

Re: Freq Convertor
PAL to NTSC: less lines and a higher frequency, sounds very difficult for a home project. If you have a PAL Multidisc (with Spanish), forcing it to NTSC (probably one method will work: modchip(Qoob),drivechip(Xeno),Swiss,Freeloader) will still give the option to choose Spanish? No, cheaper then a co...

I understand, but it will only show pages from the Wiki. If someone is searching for an alternative to the component cable, they will never find megalomniac's project for example. If there was the intention to omit search providers, I wonder why .

Is there a special reason Google can't find topic or posts on the forums of gc-forever? For example: https://www.google.nl/#hl=nl&sclient=psy-ab&q=component+site:gc-forever.com&oq=component+site:gc-forever.com . Internal search is working fine of course, but for a bigger publicity, Googl...

Re: [PAL] RGB and 480p trick?
And back with results. EL1883 works interlaced with chroma filter, 576i going to projector directly is already not bad. Tried correct RSET value (340k ohm), but still no C,H,V-sync signals coming from EL1883. Also tried on GBS-8220, should accept progressive on CGA/EGA too: http://miburl.com/pbwGqg ...
