I've always assumed that its purpose is similar to a POST checker on a PC, it'll output status codes to another device so you can see how far you've got in your code.

i finally searched this, seems on tiramisu the forwarders to work overclock and whatnot need to be installed on nand and not on usb so if you had it on usb now install it on nand to overclock.

If you're patient you can wait for a FlippyBoot IPL replacement that's currently in development. It'll allow you to boot Swiss without a working drive

Swiss has supported this for a while now (assuming you updated)

As of recent Swiss versions it will detect and initialise the NPDP drive so you should be able to mount them in Swiss as discs. That's how I'd dumped mine (with a regular GameCube with a Qoob Pro and a NPDP drive)

Nice work, there were so many configuration discs and the like when updates came out back then, I kinda miss those days.

How are the "bounds of the memory card" defined as, is it current offset vs total memory card size? that seems unlikely.
