Re: Disc Backup causing disc read error.
There's a new problem these days with capacitors needing replacement on the DVD PCB, have run into 2 where even a laser from a new GameCube swapped over wouldn't work, but when the caps were replaced it worked fine Any specific capacitor that is causing the issue or do you just replace all electrol...

Print quality looks meh, it is very cheap though especially for all the work in assembling that.

You need KNJN's TXDI programming board or a JTAG programmer. Take a look at KNJN's documentation and gcvideo's documentation.

Re: Lost USB programmer board for Qoob Pro
EDIT: Also, am I right in thinking that with the USB board attached to the main board (as in your pictures), the LED on the USB board doesn't function? It only works with the FFC attached? I believe you are correct. I did not see any other traces besides the 4 usb points that snakes their way acros...

Re: Hi, about Serial port 2 USB for Swiss, any chance?
I didn't mean to imply anyone is saying the design is bad. I just mean to say that I think the design choice is good and just voicing my opinion. Assembling two boards together isn't exactly hard, but I was thinking in terms of a design that is made for sale. Having two boards will require some hand...

Re: Hi, about Serial port 2 USB for Swiss, any chance?
The form factor doesn't suit me, neither the extenders, as you stated, so i'm gonna try to make a home-made one, to try at first, until an angled one is available (if I'm too slow to design one myself). I think it is a good design, but of course others will have different opinion. The microSD slot ...

Re: Codejunkies SD Media Launcher Issues
It's been mentioned a few times, but if you're looking for non-SDHC 4GB cards check the TOPRAM brand. You can find them in listings called "TOPRAM 4GB non-HC" or "TOPRAM 4GB non-SDHC". Doesn't really matter if you pick up any 2GB or smaller either and you can always swap to SDHC ...

Re: I want to make duplicates of Panasonic Q parts...
I'm not familiar with Panasonic Q, or the ability/quality of cast-ed parts, but Rose colored gaming has some SLA 3D printed replacement rails. I believe it's the same rails you guys are talking about. Quite expensive IMO, but might give those who are looking at this some ideas, and possibly differen...

Re: Swiss Nightly Build
I can't seem to get the Swiss to load. I bought an SD Media Launcher from Datel. It's been known that the SDML adapter it comes with is crap and doesn't get recognize. The 2GB card should work, make sure it's FAT formatted, try the tape fix by putting a piece of tape under the circuit board of the ...

Re: Do Gamecubes (DOL-001) without Digital AV exist?
It's definitely a case swap, the rear panel color is supposed to match the rest of the console. I'm not saying this statement is wrong, DOL-001 had matching rear panel color (at least the common colors ones). But I don't recall seeing a platinum(silver) or indigo(purple) rear panel color on the DOL...

I purchased some broken GC years back, seen one with dremel (rotary tool) cuts, and one with the serial port 2 snapped off.tesla246 wrote:The opposite is not possible I believe; dol 001 innards and dol 101 casing due to the serial port 2 on the motherboard but no hole in the casing.

Re: what Cable stickning out?
That shielded FFC looks familiar to the ViperGC. Comparing pictures it looks like it's 14pins which fits the ViperGC/Extreme. This assumption is correct if it is running cobra. It's to be use in conjunction with a programmer to update the chip.
Qoob Pro and WKF looks like 12pin.

Re: will sunkey fusion work with megadrive v3?
Despite fusion being in the name, it isn't a Wiikey Fusion clone or ODE. It's a Wii drive chip and a fusion of "Wii-Clip + D2Sun + Sunkey all-in-one" (Solderless clip + Solder chip + Solderless inline chip). It's not what you want. The sundriver (ide/sata hdd wii ode) from them might work....

Samsung likes to use those TRS/TRRS connectors like emu_kidid's picture. If you have the yellow in the green connector and not get a picture, it's just possible the TV doesn't support the NTSC video format.

Re: gamecube component cable short. need advice.
I have to agree, I tried to save a molded strain relief piece once and I tried drilling/melting a hole to slide over the cable and it was a huge pain and that was a relatively short area. There's quite a few people converting the cables, I'm sure you can find some images of what others have done. Th...

I had no problems with the orange Samsung Evo Miro SDXC cards at 64GB and 128GB.
Had problem with G.Skill 64gb Miro SDXC, freezes when loading.
Tested these about half a year ago, not sure how compatibility/cards have changed.

You don't need to know anything, just send the gerber zip to a PCB fab.
If your in the US, I think I have some of these board on green PCB like what I had made a few years back.
