You could get a WASP instead. I'm using a WODE and it works, but it takes sometime before you can boot a game... I would recommend using a wasp/wkf.

I have no idea about the wiring, but if the laser is broken you can't boot up a SWISS disc. Maybe you should look for a drive replacement like megadrive+WKF/WASP or at least a spare laser.

Micro SD wiring is exactly the same as normal SD. Perhaps you wired something wrong. You could upload a photo so someone can take a look at it
