Saga Frontier issue

I was attempting to run Saga Frontier using the latest stable version of PSX. I loads up just fine and runs fine until just before the title screen where the game stops and asks for another memory card to be inserted. The issue is that the only other game that's on the memory card file is a Star Ocean: The Second Story save, which I doubt takes up the entire card file. I looked through most of the options, but it doesn't look like there's any memory card option that would be related to this issue. Any ideas?

Don't use HLE Bios or else it will ask for another memory card after Squaresoft logo.
