...made the Neo Geo Memory Card function actually work.
Is the save function not working? With the exception of Over Top, I think all the games on my list are saving correctly. Remember to press L or R before closing the game.
Yeah, I did that previously. Not working for me. Tried holding R before L (emu menu button), tried pressing and releasing R before L, and also using the game's exit menu option after pressing R and then going back to the emulator to Hard Reset or load another game to see if it worked, and nothing.

A quick game to test is Metal Slug 2, you can change lives or difficulty and go back, and it will ask you to format the Memory Card.

I'll try creating a working save file with A3 and try to load it in A2, just to check.

EDIT: Nope, not working. :x

A3 on the other hand doesn't need manual saving with the button. It always saves and loads the next time.

I thought it was a game bug because I remember I was able to save the controller settings.

One more emulator related problem then.

"A2" and "A3" are which games?

I thought it was mandatory to save, but ok.

Anyway, I just need the save on Riding Hero.

The worst problem I had was the emulator preventing me from playing MVS mode in Burning Fight. I needed to modify the PGM for this.

Try to delete the file and choose another game to be the first to save.

Of course. Did that a dozen times between tests on the Wii and the Gamecube.

Lol. NeoCD Redux unofficial 1.52.A2 / 1.52.A3

I'll try other stuff in case there is a workaround, or something. Thanks for the tips, though.

Mind sharing about this? Got curious, as I am gonna play through every game on the catalogue.

I realized this when I woke up today. I thought you were talking about Aero Fighters or Art of Fighting.

What would you like to know? This emulator has several bugs. In the case of Burning Fighter, if you choose the MVS option, and pay close attention to the screen change, you will notice that the option will change to normal. Something like.

You will encounter several bugs on your journey. From the most specific and that can be ignored as one of the stages of Fatal Fury 3 to others that can make you give up like Riding Hero. I helped a user here and we hacked about 50 games on this system. Several things can happen.

I remembered that Burning Fighter has a graphical bug in the train stage.

I think in the end, you'll have fun.

I tested Metal Slug 2 and all options are saving. The problem I said occurs in the first game. I still think it's a bug in the game or it was programmed to be that way. The other options are saved.

I will attach my save. Maybe it will help you.

Maybe it's a problem related to your SD card. Something very common with users here.

Interesting. Where do I find said fixes to apply them to all my games?

Funny enough, I already tried changing SD cards on both consoles, and also different USB on the Wii.

I'll try your save.

There is no fix. At least until someone updates this emulator.

The modifications I made were cheats like "Invincible", "Infinite Life"...

As I said, you can ignore some bugs and continue. Or just go to the next one on your list.

Okey.

I was talking about this:

I'm compiling a sort of manual of the emulator for a new release, so i'm trying to document bugs and stuff. That's it.

I understood perfectly. I helped the user to create cheats for the games. And we needed to finish them to see if the changes didn't cause problems. We discovered the bugs caused by the emulator in this process.

Anyway, good luck.

Anyone knows Megalomaniac handle on GitHub? (i've found one under that name, but it's empty). Been wanting to revive this, but does someone know if 0.1.52.A3 source code was released, or is there a copy somewhere on the web? The partial Z80 update, from what i've been briefly testing, made the Neo Geo Memory Card function actually work.
An update to this, in case megalomaniac ever reappears, the source for A.3 is out there somewhere, or there is an offline mirror for it and gets posted: I finally fixed the saving problem in source, would be interested to know if updating the core could correct various bugs in a couple of games, mainly Samurai Shodown RPG, now that it is close to being finally translated 100% to english. Also would love this to have SD2SP2 support and working Wii U Pro Controller. I'll post the link to the new source soon.

And I would love for there to be options to stretch the image and save state. Something RetroArch does very well.
