Crashed out on load for me on a Gamecube, launched from SD from Swiss r366.
To avoid crash, you have to delete you retroarch settings stored in SD.

Thank you for this thread, I was looking for a good SNES emulator which performs on full speed.
So far, I tested every emulator available but only for one game, SMW2 Yoshi's island.

Catsfc is by far the best emulator. You may not notice it, but in the second level, when you enter the pipe behind the two pirhana plants, tha games lags heavily on every emulator, even with Snes9x 1.43 - GX Edition 0.1.1beta
However, Snes9x 1.43 - GX Edition 0.1.1beta seems fasted on the titile screen when this island is rotating.

To open the Catsfc (Retroarch menu) Press R+L+Start.

Thank you a lot bearteam!

I do not have the time to post other results, so any further detail informations are welcome.

By now, what is the best snes emulator for GameCube if I want to play Yoshi's Island with decent speed from a SDHC card with gecko?

Hi,

I tested several emulators and the one below worked well for me:

It has restarted my GameCube once or twice but it is very rare to happen. I do not know if it's the best but it can save you some time in the search for some version.
