How well do the emulators in retroarch perform nowadays? Should I use Retroarch or should I omit it and only use standalone emulators?

Use standalone emulators when you can, retroarch on the GameCube is crap.

Retroarch on GC dont work good for me too, SDGecko in Slot 2 isn't detected, standalone emulators works fine tho :)

I would greatly appreciate if someone could point out the currently most compatible emulator available for each system?

NES https://www.gc-forever.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2835
SNES https://www.gc-forever.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2832
GBA https://www.gc-forever.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3129

I have no idea for the others. I feel like running emulators on the GC is kinda pointless because everything is at my desk where I have my computer that does it better. Even in a living room setup, there are plenty of other, more suitable systems with a faster CPU and more RAM like the Raspberry Pi or even the Xbox, if not an HTPC.

This is almost a must for those who like to use emulators.
