Is there emulator of N64 on Gamecube?
Re: Is there emulator of N64 on Gamecube?
Yes, and there are dozens of ports, releases, remix, revamps or anything you can imagine of mainly one emulator from the PC world.
Just don't expect near perfect emulation as we can get for the SNES, if you have a pal console, you should be able to start in 60HZ from the game you're exploiting, and go for 60Hz roms, otherwise many of the emulators just won't boot, and games won't run, or be sluggish.
µpen64 (mupen64) seems to be the original seed, but among all its variants, that I can't figure out which is the more advanced or the more capable, I've been able to only run Cube64 (released in the package of Wii64, if I remember well).
Good luck finding your fancy, and don't hesitate to tell us how it turned out for you.

Re: Is there emulator of N64 on Gamecube?
Is it, or is it not?
Thanks, I've come across so much information on the net, and ended trying cube64beta1.1, mupen alpha r03 something…
Still, it seems sluggish as-is and needs some fine-tuning for each game one wanna play.
But it is running at last, and updates are going on, and very well done, which is very nice.

Re: Is there emulator of N64 on Gamecube?
But if I am running an emulator with 60hz roms from swiss and I booted swiss in the first place with a 50hz game (for example agent under fire), will there be issues/slowsdown playing the 60hz roms?
Re: Is there emulator of N64 on Gamecube?
Not64 adressed that issue and you won't have to hassle, it sets the scan to 60Hz anyways.
With Cube64 I had to launch GBI previously to have it set to 60Hz, since Agent Under Fire is my main boot disc too.
