Is there a MSX/MSX2 emulator for Gamecube?
Looking for one that might handle Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake.

Not sure, but RetroArch works fine on GameCube. Take a look at this multi-emulator.

I was a very active MSX user in the 90´s. Good look with MetalGear MSX version, a great game. Take a look also to a great cartridge inspired in MG saga, made in 2019 for MSX: PRISIONER OF WAR https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUT_UUjnMC0

Thanks for your suggestion. I tried out RetroArch, but couldn't find a core for MSX/MSX2 (like fMSX and blueMSX). Am I out of luck?

I think I know what's happening. Core must be downloaded from the RetroArch frontend, not as stand alone file from internet. RetroArch is not very user friendly, is hard to configure and use.
If RetroArch for GameCube has Super Nintendo or Megadrive CORE, I'm quite sure MSX isn't a problem for a GameCube power.

More info, but about RetroArch MSX CORE usage: https://docs.libretro.com/library/bluemsx/

From swiss I can pick a core dol inside the Retroarch folder. Then I reach the Retroarch menu. Is that the Retroarch frontend? Then from there I can't find any option to download new cores.

Yes that's the "RGUI" frontend that the GameCube & Wii ports of RetroArch receive, there's no option to download new cores on the GameCube, you'll have to manually do it. From a retroarch perspective, the GameCube & Wii are considered very limited platforms.

Does anyone know where I can manually download an MSX/MSX2 core for GameCue, if there is any?
