Cube64/Not64 and SD2SP2

Hello,
I've been meaning to use not64 on my GameCube via SD2SP2 Adapter, but it seems like it's looking at the memory card slots for the sd cards.
I know it is not the most regularly updated emulator out there, so I suppose it was to be expected.
Is there anyway to make a build that supports SD2SP2?

I've seen people implementing it on the mega drive or gba emulator, so I've got my hopes up.

Thank you !

An update for Not64 is in the works. But it's not worth using really.

Thanks for the reply Extrems ! Well as far as I know its the go-to for gamecube wii and wii u, so i'd say it still has quite the relevance.

Should we expect a little more than just an update for SD2SP2 support?

Good news anyways.

Some are wondering if the PSX emu will have the chance to get such an update.
For myself, I would have preferred a jump in accuracy and compatibility, as textures are still garbled in Cruisin'USA. I know, it may not seem the pinnacle of N64 games, but I have spent so much time on the arcade Cab, and can't afford buying one because of money, space, and many other reasons.

Unfortunately, we're at a point where moving forward require major work or, preferably, a complete rewrite.

I'm still trying some experiments, but they've stalled for years now.

when I ran the N64 emulator for my cube, with Majoras Mask, it asks for the expansion cartridge ...
will it only run on the wii?

We've seen with the SD2SP2 support that getting back to a long-sleeping project can be complicated.

You're speaking of a complete rewrite for further improvements than only SD2SP2 support?
Do you think that good quality emulation (as compatible and efficient as SNES or GBA) can be achieved one day for the N64 and PSX on the GC?
May it be by the use of external devices such as cdda streamer on GBPlayer port (maybe even MP3 on a GBA flashcart) for PSX, or memory expansion for the N64

Diego>
Why don't you just use the Collector's edition's version?
It may be buggy in some cases, but may work better than Not64.
And you can reinject the original N64 rom if you prefer.

It wasn't complicated. What's complicated is dealing with users' expectations.

Nintendo themselves have shown us it's possible.

With no UI and locked down options/device availability it'd be possible. To make it work on GameCube with all the options everyone expects from an emulator, not so easy.

Very few games work with Zelda collectors edition injection correct me if I’m wrong emu but I think it’s 10 or 12 games

He was specifically asking for Majora's Mask, I talked about injection only to play the original "unaltered" N64 ROM.
Using the emu probably gives far more compatibility (Even if only partial with some games), and more flexibility/ease of use. ;)
