This emulator works great! Thank you to everyone involved!

Two nitpicks, though:
  • Depending on the music, sometimes you hear a short crackle. I have no idea if SNES9x does this on PC as well.
  • The volume of the music seems low in comparison to Wii and GameCube games. I've turned the volume up to 100% in the main menu, but this is probably only for the menu itself.

Another small issue: when it asks you if you're sure you want to quit the game, the highlighted button is not the selected one, but the unselected one.

I have a strange problem with Snes9gx for wii, first of all, i have a single-Format PAL CRT JVC TM with only composite INPUT, it can goes to 50\60hz but sadly NO NTSC color.

I would like to play snes roms at 60hz with PAL colors, with no black bars, so I've setted my PAL WII to PAL60hz.

If i try to run a NTSC rom via Snes9gx and set it to NTSC it will give me black and white full screen image that goes 60 hz, no black bars, that's normal i guess.

If i try PAL50 i will get "perfect colors", 50hz and a squished image with black bars :x , terrible but normal.

If i set PAL60 i obtain a 60hz image with PAL colors....but a SQUISHED image! The black bars persists!

What am i doing wrong?

Too bad you just don't have any RGB option on your monitor, because it's just the better way to go on CRTs, both quality and compatibility wise. :?

Usually, it is quite normal to get black bars (upper and lower) on a PAL CRT when inputting 60Hz source whatever standard it is supposed to be, and it is just how they looked back in the days, playing The NTSC SNES on a PAL TV with RGB cable. :P

How Wii games look on this monitor in PAL-50 and PAL-60?

Beware not to use video settings that needs EDTV device (Component cable…), it can look awkward when outputting anything on the Composite pin.
