CleanRip v2.0.0 for GC/Wii
CleanRip v2.0.0 for GC/Wii
There's a new version of CleanRip for both GameCube and Wii available.
The GameCube version hadn't benefitted from the improvements in v1.0.5
until this new release. It can dump discs in about 14.5 minutes
on my GameCube whilst verifying the data too.
Whatsnew in 2.0.0:
* GameCube version integrated into one codebase
* GX GUI
* Fix disc dumping on Wii U (Wii discs only of course)
* Fix ETA calculation on non GC discs
* Fix fatUnmount
* Stop larger than 4GB chunks on FAT FS
* Fix potential issue when read error occurs

Superb! Thanks once again Emu!
Re: CleanRip v2.0.0 for GC/Wii
Awsome work dude. I thought that v1.0.4 was very good but with these improvements I cannot avoid test this one out.Thanks.
Re: CleanRip v2.0.0 for GC/Wii
Downloaded, but it gives me an error with my 16 GB SanDisk flash drive (write error, 1.0.4 does not). Works good on my 4 GB Gigaware (RadioShack) flashdrive.
Great work though, love the GX gui.

Nice work ! Will test it as soon as possible
Re: CleanRip v2.0.0 for GC/Wii
Unlike previous versions, rips are now correctly verified against the database. Thanks for the update!
Re: CleanRip v2.0.0 for GC/Wii
The thing won't work. Using a 16GB NTFS-formatted USB thumb drive, I attempted to dump Super Smash Bros. Brawl (RSBE01). I accounted for it being a dual layer disc in the settings, and set the chunk size to MAX. The rip failed somewhere past 70% with a write error. After that, every attempt to rip the disc, no matter what chunk size I set, fails right out of the gate, with the transfer slowing to a crawl before it even rips 1%.

Re: CleanRip v2.0.0 for GC/Wii
Seems quite a bit faster for use with Devolution on my Wii, great I did n't even know this still being developed! Just wondering though if I get a Wii U at Xmas; can Cleanrip rip GC disks on Wii U?? :$
Re: CleanRip v2.0.0 for GC/Wii
not that I know of, it doesn't accept the disc, just like the family edition Wii?
Re: CleanRip v2.0.0 for GC/Wii
Even though they're the same physical format as wii discs (disregarding the size), it looks like the firmware rejects them.

Re: CleanRip v2.0.0 for GC/Wii
Interesting I wonder if this is an intentional move by Ninty;) it must be! Doesn't matter tho I' ll stick to the Wii to rip the GC disks and move em to Wii U on a 16GB usb they re dirt cheap. Cheers for the speedy reply
Re: CleanRip v2.0.0 for GC/Wii
Even with gc.dat file in the root of the card CleanRip tells me that the file is missing and asks if I want to download it. When I answer no and start doing the RIP of the game then it give me a message at the bottom of the screen. Dat file is in use. Is not there a problem with the routine of checking the existence of the file?

Re: CleanRip v2.0.0 for GC/Wii
it also checks for a wii.dat so copy the gc.dat on to the sd as wii.dat and it should say that its found now or you could probs just put the actual wii.dat on there its upto you
Re: CleanRip v2.0.0 for GC/Wii
Thanks man, I had thought of that.
