Yeah, first you need approval of your account (since this is trading site) and then you need a couple of posts so that your replies don't need approval outside the "introduction" forum (this is to stop spam bots and it is actually working very well).
After that you are a full member, normally people make these 2 posts on the "introduce your self" forum and 95% of them never realise the limitation is in place.
Your reply is approved now btw

Yes, you have 24 hours. We had some.. "words", a moderator came and told me that it was THE RULE. You know, the same kind of rule as Fight Club.
First rule of AmiBay : you have 24 hours.
Second rule of AmiBay : YOU HAVE 24 HOURS.

While here, it so easy to trade, people are trustful and understanding.

What is so bad about that? 24hrs is reasonable time for a minimum waiting period (and it's actually up to the seller to consider these 24hrs the absolute maximum or not - 95% of the time sellers wait a couple of days before proceeding to the next in line).
If real life got in your way and your seller did not want to wait then it's just that: life and missed chances, happens all the time.

all others are DOL-001

If you buy the megadrive v4 (wrong) it will be plug-and-play. It will work in the sense that you plug out the disc drive and plug in the WiiKey.
Remember to bridge the lid-lid and p29-gnd connectors if you want it switchless.

Edit: My bad. V4 = huge plug and play including dvd drive. V3 is the one needing to bridge connectors and comes without dvd drive.

megadrive v3 not v4

V4 is a complete kit with a drive and a wasp preinstalled. It's the only one that supports flat mode without extra modifications.

i see that now i watched the vid for it and thought that was far too complicated for me to try didn't realise it came pre-assembled, anyway its not available yet and too expensive for me right now

if i have a wasp and a megadrive v3 is there anyway of doing it using a gamecube or wii drive so i can switch between sd and discs

If you eject the sd card it will automatically use the dvd drive connected, be it a wii drive or a gamecube drive.

My suggestion is v4.

It is an all in one solution, with wasp and gamecube drive together. Once again, ejecting sd card will go to dvd mode.
It is be possible to make a switch for ejecting sd card by a switch without actually taking the card out, but it is really a hassle (need to break up the sd mount cable and add a switch to disconnect the wire on demand, but honestly it's easier to just take the card semi out).

It's out of stock now, but website says more is on the way.


By the way mega, you mentioned some new stuff coming I've heard? Does this mean I should wait with purchasing the v5 as I was planning (out of stock) or should I just go for it (my ugly wiremess is becoming worse each day, you kick the gc while playing and it shuts off).

Ah, well you could try to use the v5/6 on the underside of the mobo, and see if you manage to somehow solder an extra ffc cable (warning, very hard. a+++ tiny parts master degree needed) directly to a disc drive (cut off connector).That is not easy.

Something else which you could do is have a wiidrive inside the gamecube, if you find a way to mount it in a nice and good way. If that's the case you need to have a NO/NC button for the disc eject button (should be a post about it on the wiki somewhere for pinouts). This is probably the easiest one, although you will need to modify the case (if it will fit, but it probably will considering the size of the cube).

I personally dont even use a disc(all i have are copied to sd card), so it's not an issue for me.

Wasp + V3 + Wii drive + pin29 switch + lid switch + 5v & 12v + custom Wii drive mounting bracket + GC case mod
This might be the easiest solution for some people.

You could also be creative and make the wii drive top loading to keep your case intact.

I think the xeno fusion was obsolete after megadrive v4 was it?

Xeno Fusion was a work around before discovering how to allow autoboot....and now that we know the method to allow autoboot, there is no reason for Xeno Fusion.
