IDE-EXI arrives and web store opens!

Post by emu_kidid » Sat Jan 22, 2011 11:57 pm

I'm proud to announce the opening of the gc-forever web store and also the arrival of the IDE-EXI :)

You can access the web store from the left side of the main page under "Web Store".
I have about 60 IDE-EXI's to sell, there are about 10 reserved, and 30 will be going to liquitt to sell from Europe (shortly).

The web store is a little empty right now, but I'll add in a few more items as time passes.

ETA for things currently is set at:
- IDE-EXI shipping commences around the 28/01/2011
- Swiss beta will be released at around the same time
- The Europe web-store should be opening shortly too

Click on the attachments to see pictures of the IDE-EXI :)

It comes in mc case? I mean how do we stop the pcb from sliding about the mc port or snapping from the weight of the HDD? apart from that it looks great.

the PCB thickness is such that it will not slide in/out easily. You must use a cable, the cable is not heavy enough to put stress on the adapter - in the picture I've got the HDD sitting on the cable but it's far enough that there's no stress on it.

Awesome, big thanks :D
Just curious, on the second picture it says "layout by bushing and emu_kidid". Did bushing help you out?

Another question: Is there any IDE-USB adapter available that will work with the IDE-EXI one?

I found something like that, but that's apparently not going to work

Can the 12v DC input of the power cable be tapped safely for the Molex 8981? ie running parallel with gamecube it won't stress the transformer too much for current?

Cost for 2 adapters: 63 AUD
Shipping to the States: 30 AUD

....I really want one, but I'm not sure with that shipping.

Paul.str, there are bulk rates - I had not set it up properly, but if you two adapters postage shouldn't cost you more than buying one.

kevstah2004, yes you should be able to grab the power parallel with the GC power adapter.

Cubelover, that will make a IDE/SATA drive connect via USB but not a USB drive connect via IDE.

So, when does the Germany based store open?
Is it possible to reserve me one of those 30 Europe ones?

Is that pic of a final version?

You got the link wrong. GCForever.com is not the site. GC-Forever is. :/

seeing you have an email address ending on .de - why not order from the european store and save shipping? ^^
