End of the webstore

Post by emu_kidid » Sun Jul 15, 2012 12:30 am

The Web Store has come to a permanent end. It was good while it lasted but PayPal doesn't seem to like
that I was selling devices for an out of market video game console enabling users to run unsigned code.

All orders that had been received had already been sent out, so do not ask me if your order will arrive or not,
It most certainly will.

Bummer man, I hope Paypal didn't give you to rough of a time.

I'm sure future sales could be handled in a more personal manner through the forum in some way or other though.

180 day suspension with no facility to appeal the judgement served down to me, cause they are never wrong... *rolls eyes*

I liked PayPal until this moment.

Wow... 180 days is pretty damn harsh, jeez. I hope you didn't loose any funds or anything that were in your account. Total BS if you lost anything. :/

PayPal is a bitch. You can't even receive donations anymore. What about alternatives like Google Checkout?

Not sure if I got this right but during the suspension time you can't use paypal at all, no eBay?

AC_Orange, it's suspended indefinitely - in 180 days I can take the measly $15 I had in there out but the account is "limited" till the end of time.

So no eBay for me under that account ever again - totally stupid in so many ways, way to go PayPal, everyone is guilty with no chance to explain or appeal :P

superspudz2000, message me what name the order was under, if it didn't make it out then you should have a refund.

Seems kinda strange. Are they going to withdraw their facilities with every website that sells mod chips/flash carts now.

Did someone open a PayPal dispute which brought you under their scrutiny.

What if you were to sell pieces of candy which come with a FREE GIFT ;) device.

What about trying Google Checkout, AlertPay (but the tax is very important) or MoneyBookers ?
And if you want a webstore back, there is some free CMS available to create webstores. You could combine one of them with one of the Paypal alternative :) Or we could just use the Marketplace forum...

Yes, all it took was one person to raise a dispute for a non received item. *facepalm*.

Psst, don't tell PayPal or they will ban every account that is used for selling SD Media Launchers!

Who knows, maybe they'll spank Nintendo too for making a device like that for their own consoles.

OH WAIT-
