SD Boot Audio Question

Post by fujichan » Sat Jul 03, 2010 2:53 am

I have tried a few games on SD Boot and it seems that all games will lag in sound during videos and/or loading screens. I was wondering if there is a fix to this? and what is the cause of this problem (SD Boot itself, SD gecko, GC homebrew launcher, cmios?). By the way, I am using SD Boot v4 Rc4.
Also, I was also wondering if there is any news on SD Boot 1.0 as to its progress?

Try the "audio stutter fix" under settings if that doesn't try help try a faster sdcard,
when you first start sdboot you have the option of selecting 16mhz for compatibility or 32mhz speed if you go the install tab it'll show you the clock rate of the sdcard or speed class rating.
I don't know how the clock rate tallies up against the speed class ratings though.

Class 6 cards make a difference over class 2, but also, it heavily depends on the game and quality of the SD card. I also recommend that the Gamecube have a decent disc in the drive, not one which the console will have trouble seeking/reading on.
