XenoGC POT adjust HELP

Post by Nadestorms » Sat Jul 11, 2015 6:33 am

Okay guys so I put a XenoGC in my cube a few months ago. And it worked fine with ritada ritek disks burning ISOs with imgburn. So after a while the burnt disks quit working (spin then stop) and only originals worked. So with a multimeter I adjusted it to first 200 then anywhere from 150-250 and i noticed it didn't ever work how ever toward the lower resistances it'd spin longer and longer. I tried setting it all the way down and it got so close to working but I can't go lower than like 20 without it jumping to 990. Help. Please. I have tried a new computer and new burn, no bueno.

Hi,

When I used the XenoGC I got good results with DVD-R CMC MAG AM3 at top speed recording and Incremental mode in ImgBurn. Here in Brazil, I found this DVD-Rs with the PHILIPS and sometimes LG and MAXPRINT. I hope this helps.

CMC Mag discs are very bad in comparison to riteks. The GameCube will really struggle with them

I also only used RITEK until I recorded Pikmin 2. I had already recorded more than 50 games but I could not pass the logo of Nintendo with Pikmin 2. I bought from different shops and nothing ... until I found this brand manufacturer . This also solved the random DREs I had with RE 2 in a specific room. I gave these dvds to a friend and still works. And I recorded in 2008/09. I consider bad: Elgin, Multilaser and TDK.
