Gamecube Component Cable and Swiss , no Video

Post by s8n187 » Wed Mar 23, 2016 5:29 pm

hi members , i got a Wasp Fusion today and tried it out on my Megadrive V3 Gamecube. I am really stoked with the results as my previous 2 WASP's didn't work , i have one small issue though. I have the official Gamecube Component Cable and when the WASP loads Swiss my CRT TV doesn't show it. If i press down and then A on my controller a game will load and Video is restored , im thinking there is an option in Swiss that can fix the issue im having but don't know what it is.

any tips ?

Change video mode from auto to 480i in the settings with a composite cable plugged in. Most likely your tv doesn't support 480p.

If you are on a newer version of swiss, you can also press the L button during boot; swiss will be in 480i even when you have a component cable inserted.
Dream mod: HI-speed port device utilizing 4:4:4 RGB 32 bit colour, 720p video and variable refresh rate.
Favourite mod: GC Loader flashed with latest swiss.
Eagerly awaiting a normal, form-factor wise, wireless controller with rumble. :)

hi guys , i changed the video mode to 480i and saved it but when i boot Swiss still no video. Do i need to have a Memory Card inserted or something ? .........btw holding L during does work but i prefer it to be saved and automatic.

i tried something today when i boot up Swiss i went and and chose SD Gecko with my 2GB SD Card in it and there's a swiss.ini in the directory. Weird it seems my setting is saving but not working for some reason ie boot Swiss in 480i mode.

i tried something else today , i saved the Swiss video setting to my SD Card through my adapter connected to the Memory Card port. I then copied the swiss.ini to my 32GB Sandisk which is in the WASP SD Card slot , unfortunately i still get no video.

interestingly if i hold L Trigger on my controller and then Swiss boots up i go to the settings and it says Swiss 480i. So it seems the swiss.ini is being accessed from the WASP but isn't switching to 480i mode , i also tried 576i too but still get no video.
