GBI to OSSC output half black space, half game image

Hello.

I wanted to say I have a xeno modded gamecube, output through eonmk2 to a ossc via scart.

Could anyone rise above the challenge and maybe help me to figure out how my gameboy player game boy advance games have a large black blank space with no game image, and then like half a game image...

The aforementioned vernacular, 'challenge', is put forth as I have different tech to get a nice image. I mean OSSC could be the problem but I suspect it is the swiss and eon mk II or the gbi.

Anyways I appreciate if anyone whom knows a little about the GBI could maybe explain, or if this is my swiss video settings messing with this setup?

I can also provide an image if necessary.

Thanks in advance.

I wonder why you stacked up so many converters and use SCART RGB while you don't have either a native SCART RGB output GC nor a native SCART RGB input Display.
Why not just go for HDMI link since you have the EON MKII?

Does backup playing via SWISS show similar oddities?

Try your display setup with another SCART RGB output device (PAL GC or another such capable console).
Try your console setup with a SCART RGB CRT TV.
Try your GBP on your console with GBI but through Composite or S-Video, to check it.
Try Your GBP on another console, or yours, but with the GBP Boot Disc.

There are some video adjustments in SWISS specifically for Scalers, what sugests they can have not quite a smart behavior in regards to standard video signals.

Select dYUV mode in the GCHD's menu.

Aye Lads,

yeah a total orgy of tech, however I cannot use hdmi cause it doesn't look as good with gbi. I used the game boy player there were no issues. For some reason swiss or the gbi interface are messing with the eon mk II. I will post an update when I figure it out. Rgb is beautiful from the eon mk II, every other game is nice in HD except for gameboy player using gbi. So the colours and signal are so much better with gbi ossc or even gbi rgb but like I say there is a big black hole of a space being sent through the signal to the ossc.

Oh and 'tis a scart cable specifically for the mkII.

In response to the suggested actions by Papy.G,

I got the game boy player disc working perfectly basically a wasted disc burnt though cause it looks like trash. My other systems output fine through the ossc,

could be the gbi.

Your issue is with GCVideo-DVI's blanking regeneration. You need to select dYUV mode.

Okay so to be clear, if I set both the analog output and digital to dyuv, I get a wonderful green hue on my OSSC due to using a scart cable and not a component cable?

Now you need to select YPbPr mode on your OSSC's AV1 input.

So the EON MKII can force component output through its analog (WII style) connector even if you connected a RGB SCART cable in it?

Component is not supported in the european SCART pinout (Peritel) AFAIK, but may be in the japanese implementation.

Uh I am not sure of the wiring...

yes, I purchased a scart cable specifically made for the eon mkII, it does all three actually, RGBS, RGsB, and component, its massive from all the shielding, a behemoth cable really.

I am amazed and I would have just got a component cable, but there were no decent ones. so eon mkII, but then I got a mkII SCART cable just 'cause.

I was thinking about making a Component/RGB cable for the Wii with a scavenged VGA cable, but this needs to have both connectors on the display side or an adapter, and a switch on the console side as well as a 1881 to rip the composite video off the sync line.
