Putting games on a hardrive
well i edit the topic because of all this replies here, Yeah backups are illegal blah blah, i will buy them original this week, good thing theres a mini market that sells them cheap here in my area, but i dont want to use the dvd drive, i want to use a external hardrive, but need help setting it up, whats the best brand? how many gb does it need? can someone give me a step by step or give me a link? also please be patient on what i post, im new to all this homebrew related stuff for almost a year..

You have to rip the games to the drive in .iso files using some tool. I'm guessing you are talking for use with a GC?

You don't own the games, why do you call them backups?
Buy them and rip them directly to the hard drive.

wow lol thanks for the response, i edit the topic.. like the topic saids im new to the homebrew scene, for almost a year, in two weeks to be exact, BTW gc-forever is one of my favorite forums, reasons: its a friendly forum, not like other ones witch i wont mention lol.

There is a number of ways one is to use a USB loader and rip the disc directly from the wii. This is the most ideal and simple way. I for one found it easiest. but to get you set up with a ?USB loader and ready to play from your HDD check out modmii for windows.

there are some free wii site where you can get so called backups if you can not understand how to rip them, but its not that hard with cfg all you do is hit the - buttion some times and then it goes to work

ok thanks.. im still havin trouble installin the channel lol.. i installed other channels but not the usb channel gx, it gives me a error..
