thanks button (or similar)

Post by andzlay » Mon May 14, 2012 3:08 pm

Hi.

I got one idea for the board: It would be nice to have a "thank you" or "like" (or whatever) button for each post or atleast as an option for each post. so you can honor other users without spamming the forum with post "thank youuuuuU!!!!11" or "i agree!".

There are mods for phpbb so technically it wouldn't be a problem :)

I agree.

I measure my self-worth based on the amount of appreciation that people show me for my online comments. I rarely come here because this site does not validate my sad little life in the way I desire.

Ouch, right in the dignity.

But I kinda agree, also I like a personal 'thank youuu!' more than a "xx likes this".

No, please don't make this remind me of facebook D: (hater here).

There are features like that in many support and/or technical etc forums , and it's pretty handy because you can find almost immediately the post you've been searching.
Not a bad idea if it's implemented nicely.

I've tried to keep the forum as dull as possible (ad wise too) so that it can be more of an information store rather than it turn into forum ego matches.

Ah, k. Just thought it'd be nice, cause sometimes I agree with users here and would like to show it, without creating a full post even though I don't have anything to say on my own. But so - no.
That's ok.
