I downloaded Bomberman Party Edition because I wanted to list to its music, which is in XA format. But most of the things that claim to be able to play XA files can't play the ones in the game, and the few that can just output a butchered mess. Does anyone know a way to actually play them? I'd also like to know how to play the STR files that are in the game, but can't find anything that can actually play those either.
Here's an XA file, and here's an STR file:

Playing XA and STR files?

Re: Playing XA and STR files?
I used to play STR and XA files back in 2001 on some dodgy Japanese programs from 1997.
STR are video files (with or without audio I think), not sure what can play these in this day and age, but XA files, can't vgmstream or something similar play them?

Re: Playing XA and STR files?
That's one of the ones that plays them, but they sound like garbage (download that XA file and see for yourself), and all the programs that are supposed to play STR files keep giving me errors. I don't know, maybe there's something special about that game's STR and XA files.

If your extracting single str / xa files from an image use CDmage it's the only program that doesn't bork the audio data.
