DIY component cables?

Post by Chris230291 » Sun May 11, 2014 3:55 pm

Hello. Does anyone know of someone that has successfully made their own component cable?
When I google it I see a few pictures of what could be DIY solutions but I cant find any info.

Any input is appreciated.

Cheers,
Chris.

They are not DIY solutions, but DIY modifications.
There is a proprietary MX chip inside converting the signal which is impossible to acquire. You're better of buying it.

Has no one managed to reverse engineer what's on that chip? From what I understand you can't just take a dump of what's on there because they are protected against that.

The chip has been mostly r/e but implementing it is hard. Also one does not simply dump a transistor layout. ;)

It's easier and cheaper to just buy a wii + component cable than getting a GC component cable.
