My suggestions:

1. Paint job
2. Region free mod
3. If your Gamecube can't read discs, you may consider a lens replacement or a pot tweaking (maybe an expert user can help you)
4. If you have soldering skills, you should try the Wii drive replacement or play with the Wii modchip on the Gamecube
NES :: SNES :: N64 :: PSOne :: GC :: PS2 Slim :: GBA SP iQue (AGP-101) :: Wii :: DSi :: 3DS XL (Smash Edition)

Buy another and breed it with that one, be sure to connect them via modified link cable or it won't work:

Let them soak in warm water for 1-2 hours
Once they expand to full size, leave them to dry out in the sun for a while and you're done!
Colors random, sorry...
