How to get my videos to fit entire screen on YouTube?

Post by cornandbeans » Mon Feb 23, 2015 1:04 am

So I've been recording some gameplay clips for youtube, however, they have the black bars on them when uploading. Any tips on how to make it fit the entire screen (i.e. free, good video editors or something)

You just need to adjust the aspect ratio when editing. Sony Vegas Pro 11 is really good editing software.

Try putting this in the tags aswell: yt:stretch=16:9
Looking for:

Viper, Icedcube and Xcm cases.
Qoob, Viper and official Xeno modchips.

Youtube uses 16:9 aspect ratio, make sure your game outputs 16:9 otherwise there is nothing you can do about black bars.
(without manipulating the footage, like streching or cropping to 16:9)

Are the black bars already in your recorded footage or does yt add them?
