One of the great minds behind the 'cube and many other Nintendo products, Satoru Iwata was pronounced dead at the age of 55 on July 11th, 2015. Very sad news... I haven't been a huge fan of Nintendo's most recent endeavors, but they still ran a good business and had quality products, and this fella' was part of the reason for maintaining that quality.
Rest in peace friend, you will be missed by many.

Little shocked but sadly true. Nintendo has big lost. RIP Satoru.
