Mega Man X Collection outputs its games in 240p60, I think, but it only takes up half the screen when the collection is forced to use 480p. I wonder if there's an option of a line doubler that could be exposed in Swiss.

Diminuendo wrote:would a 4:3 widescreen be possible for newer tvs? basically have the cube output 16:9 with black bars on the left and right to shrink the image down to 4;3

you want swiss to display a 4x3 image with black bars to fill a 16x9 widescreen to compensate for not having to change the stretch/normal/zoom/ modes on a TV or monitor??
or am i missing the point somewhere?

you force 240p....get half a screen...then you want a line doubler??
wouldnt that turn the displayed image into a bastardized 480p ???

I think it's a 240p game he's forcing into 480p, and then that.makes sense.
Also.about Diminuendo's request I don't really see the point either as I've never seen a TV with no aspect ratio setting (which is saved per source).

If you're going to line double it you may as well just leave it as 240p in the first place.

Monitors that don't support 480i don't support 480p either. IIRC BenoitRen uses a Wii with a VGA cable so he's in this case.

WKF works fine, but 128GB cards will display a wonky Used/Free status :P

CRT monitors don't support a 240p signal.

I think you mean 240p instead of 480p.

I had a look. It looks like it was broken if you have a XenoGC based on the current code.

I'm assuming you have a XenoGC.

Basically, it'll always be broken for a XenoGC that isn't running v2 firmware since the v1 firmware doesn't have the special offset command and doesn't let me unload it to use the one I use on drives that don't have a modchip.

v2 will be fixed shortly, but I won't spend anymore time on a v1 since hardly anyone will have one and should just upgrade.

Yes, I have XenoGC v2.

It's unfortunate that moderators can't be added to the ignore list, because I don't appreciate your attitude.

You would have to add me to the list too because I have to agree with what he's saying. Lets not overcomplicate things.

Agreeing with him does not mean you should be on my ignore list. As they say, it's not what you say, it's how you say it.

This isn't an isolated case, either. His attitude towards me has been problematic in a couple other threads.

Well said, I haven't really noticed though, megalomaniac just likes to question everything, sometimes with multiple question marks and plenty of line spaces and ellipses.

Not sure, but I know some games have widescreen settings.
I'd like to see this too because I want to play Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door on my computer monitor and it doesn't have a widescreen option so the 4:3 picture gets stretched into widescreen.
