16:9 should work for most games from disc too but not games that use multiple DOL files (there's a few).

WiiRD is a debugger/cheat finder that lets you "connect" live to a game session via USBGecko and poke at memory whilst the game is running.

Thank you Emu for your answer..Well, I don´t know whats wrong with Zelda TP, I play Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime Echoes, Metroid Prime, Mario Kart DD at 480p, and no problems with them (all of them using swiss). I use Wii, because I have the wii component cable. I can´t try on Gamecube because I don´t have GC component cable.

I am aware that the slot A emulation isn't done yet, but do you ever think that slot B emulation will be possible?

Why not? I think it's just some letters that have to be changed in the code

I´m having some problems with this 0.3 release and the video mode with PAL games that have 50 and 60Hz mode. With gmes that are just 50Hz there´s no problem, I just set up the video mode on 576p and the games runs fine, same for NTSC and the 480p mode, but the games that have 50 and 60Hz have a problem.

The logos before de Hz selector are at 50Hz, so if I select 576p y can play the game on 50Hz, but if I choose 60Hz i get a back screen, and if I select 480p y get only the black screen. On swiss 0.2 r124 de progresive mode worked fine with both and it changed on the go.

For example Resident Evil Zero has 50Hz and 60Hz, on swiss 0.2r124 if I choose the progresive mode the logos were on 576p but when i choose the 60Hz option the game changed to 480p without problems.

Same goes for 60Hz only PAL games, the company logos runs on 50Hz before the games chages to 60Hz.

Django,

You cannot do 50Hz 480p and you cannot do 60hz 576p. Keep this in mind when forcing progressive video mode.

Yes, but in PAL games that have 60Hz mode I would like to being able to play on 480p if the game has the 60Hz option. If its possible you could keep 480p and 576p for only 60hz and 50hz games and the old progresive for PAL games with 50Hz/60Hz beacuse the Hz selector is in 50, and the few only 60Hz PAL games have the company intro logos before the menu on 50Hz.

I'm not sure I follow.. if you force 480p, it'll force to 480p, if you force 576p, it'll force when you select 50Hz, what's the problem?

Thank you for this tool, emu_kidid! It's like a gift from heaven as forcing progressive scan mode seemed only possible through the use of a modchip. This tool is particularly useful for me because I have a VGA cable for my Wii that only supports progressive scan, hence it allows me to play my GameCube game library on my Wii.

I was bummed to find out that the Phantasy Star Online games can't be forced into progressive scan mode, though. The NTSC releases do support it.

All my findings have been added to the wiki. :)

emu_kidid the problem is that if I wan to play, for example, metroid prime 2, the PAL version is only 60Hz, but the nintendo and retro logos are on 50Hz so if I force 480p I get a black screen and the console block. If I select 567p I see the nintendo an retro logos, and after that a black screen and the console blocked. Same goes for the games with 50/60Hz selector.

With the release 0,2r124 for example with the progresive enabled the nintendo and retrologos where on 576p but when the game switches to 60Hz y also changed to 480p.

Django, thanks, I'll see what I can do about that :)

BenoitRen, nice, thanks for updating the wiki with your findings.

I just got reading from SDGecko happening with no stutter in games!! This isn't by muting audio or anything I've done in the past, this is an actual improvement on the way reading is done in games with SDGecko ;) I'll post a video up tonight! 0.4 should be the best release ever :P

Whenever I load swiss after i hold b to let it know thwt there is no DD it says "loading SD from slot B." And then it just stops. It stays like that. I have my sd gecko in slot A with a 16GB with smash bros on it. What is my problem?

What's in your slot B? If this is a portable, what have you done with Slot B?

If it's trying to load from Slot B then it thinks that something is inserted in the slot (2 specific pins shorted = device inserted, but i forget which ones.)

If the sense pin connected to 3.3V, the GC thinks that something is connected, but doesn't know what, so an error pops out.
Even if those aren't shorted but DO is connected to something, an error message is shown again.

About this "loading from slot X", just remove SDGecko and plug it back in, or connect it after swiss loads.

was that directed toward me?

EDIT: How odd. I am able to load games from the SD card from slot B on swiss 0.2.

EDIT 2: After I booted a game and turned the GC off then on again when I try to boot a game via SD it says "failed to make configuration file" on Swiss 0.2. Still have the "Reading SD in slot B problem." on 0.3. I really want to fix this and I have no idea why its doing this. :(

but none of the pins have shorted and the regular GC BIOS dosnt give an error when theres nothing in the slot.
