Configuring Swiss
Configuring Swiss
As I only use Swiss with retail discs, is there a way to configure Swiss so it immediately loads (but not executes) the first (and only) dol from the DVD? There seem to be some buttons on the bottom, but I can't reach them. Of course, that may be because I don't have a memory card inserted.
If I need to change some source code myself and compile it, that's fine. I'm a programmer.

i'm not quite sure what you're trying to do (since you're only using retail discs) ?!BenoitRen wrote:As I only use Swiss with retail discs, is there a way to configure Swiss so it immediately loads (but not executes) the first (and only) dol from the DVD? Re: Configuring Swiss
When I load Swiss, it's to launch a GameCube game that's in my Wii's DVD drive with forced 480p. Does that explain it?

Re: Configuring Swiss
What I posted in the feature requests thread is not related, though.
Look, when I boot Swiss, I have to select the device to use. In my case, I always select the DVD drive. Then I get a list of games found on the DVD. In my case that's always one game as it's a retail GameCube game. What I would like is for Swiss to skip these steps so it immediately loads my game.

Re: Configuring Swiss
So it automatically goes to your DVD you're browsing but you'd like it to autoboot it instead?
Re: Configuring Swiss
No, it doesn't. When I start Swiss I see this:
I'd like it to automatically load the GameCube game in the DVD drive so when I start Swiss I see this:
Of course, that should be Swiss 0.3 and it shouldn't be a game loaded from a SD card, but I couldn't find a better screenshot.

Re: Configuring Swiss
oh ok - yeah I can work that in but unfortunately you won't be able to configure it like that at the moment without me changing code.
Re: Configuring Swiss
so you basically want to skip the Cheats/Video Mode select screen. ok.

Re: Configuring Swiss
emu: would a configuation option like "autoboot disc if found in drive Y/N" be possible?

Re: Configuring Swiss
that's difficult cause there isn't a storage you can always rely on in Swiss to be there so I'm not sure how useful that'd be.

Re: Configuring Swiss
I have this same annoyance, I also find it a pain to have to turn on forced widescreen every time I play. Would it be crazy to have swiss 4.0 make its own save file in memory slot A to remember my settings for each game?
Re: Configuring Swiss
Added to auto navigate to the DVD banner screen if a GC disc is detected at bootup.
