Swiss as apploader on individual isos?

Post by ShockSlayer » Sun Mar 31, 2013 1:09 pm

Hey guys,

I'm wondering about using Swiss as an apploader for certain games. Basically, I want to take advantage of forcing 16:9 by making a bootable iso of Melee that already has the widescreen AR code(fixes the HUD and background issues) hacked into the start.dol.

Possible? Is there an easier way to force 16:9 without using swiss?

Would need to be custom cause there are places in memory that the patched start.dol would need to jump to that Swiss sets up.

So, does swiss just patch the start.dol to force 16:9? Or am I reading that wrong? ._.

Might be a bit off here but isn't it simply easier to patch the start.dol beforehand?

I guess it would be because I'm just looking to make it load in 16:9, but swiss is the only way I know how to do that atm.
