How to build Wiikey flashable .fzn from swiss.dol?

Post by Ashen » Mon Apr 22, 2013 4:55 am

I'd really love to learn how to do this, that way when a new svn is released I could always have the latest version for testing. Swissception is cool and all, but when testing stuff it gets redundant.

Pretty sure Emu's the only one who can really answer this. If its a major pain in the ass to do then its no biggie.

you just need the first 0x1D0000 bytes of an ISO. so build Swiss, make a .GCM and then pad that GCM to 0x1D0000 bytes in length and name it .fzn.

It is normal that with this build when you switch sd cards in the fusion slot that it won't reinitialize it? Also the swiss boot logo is changed back to the linux one.... What's up with that???

you might need to use swissception technique until the latest discoveries can be identified and corrected...
as for the logo, simply it was not built with using the gbi.hdr emu_kidid uses

Swissception is simply loading Swiss from within Swiss. Usually a newer or previous version, because loading the same version over and over, while fun, is pretty useless.

HAHA
Without knowing, it was what i did.
Loading swiss 1.2 from swiss 1.0 (1.0 was little enough to be flashed to Qoob).

you might not need swiss on qoob flash anymore...
when you boot qoob, hold b to bring up qoob menu
then insert SD card into WKF slot
boot original IPL and swiss on WKF flash will autoload

really, you really wont even need qoob anymore...

It's the way i use for now with my system.
Since i have no news about my "possibley to sell" Qoob, i think i will abandon this feature on my next system.
But i still need a Xeno...
So, after newsa bout Mega3, i will be able to start the project :)
