I don't think it's just a video output problem with the "no signal" because it's not "out of range" or something like that and swiss.ini is not created which at least in the older versions happens on startup. But in case it makes any difference I'm using RGB scart.

I also tried fully reformatting my SD card just in case.

Exception screen attached if it helps any.

EDIT: So here's something interesting. If I load Swiss 0.3 r174 I can then load any version of Swiss I want from there and it will work. But I still can't get games to work on the new builds. Trying Twilight Princess with r256 now and am getting that black screen that flashes a bit at times into a lighter shade of black for some reason.
I got that exception when my WKF was inproperly wired.
What is your mod? I could never get post-174 to load from dvd, had to load 174 and then the new version.

My console is not modded. I have SD Media Launcher by Datel (launcher software on DVD + SD card adapter in the memory card slot to launch stuff from).

r258 code is up but I haven't had a chance to try it via SDML yet, so I suspect it will still be broken.

I'm really sorry for the stupid question, but which file in this package should I use if I want to burn swiss to a disc, the .dol or .iso? Currently my GC has a XenoGC and plays backed up dvdr games fine, but I was hoping to play around with Swiss' forced 16:9 and progressive modes. Should I just burn one of those files to a disc, boot to Swiss, then swap with my game?

How do I burn the swiss iso so I can boot it with my xenogc chip? I tried to resize it with wiped GCM fixer but no luck.

There is no need to resize. JUST burn - it'll burn whole 1,4GB ;)

I tried, it didn't work. Used the same method to burn retail games successfully.

Don't you need to add your own padding? Swiss isn't officially distributed at full disc size.

I've burned r256 iso using IMGBurn and it works fine on XenoGC. Iso is from 1st post.

I've used two different methods for padding:
1. Imgburn finish dvd. Automatically padded the rest. This worked.
2. GCN resizers etc, hit and miss for me. Worked some games, didn't most games.

Where is the setting in imgburn to finish the dvd. Did a quick check and could not seem to find it.

I meant finalize. I have no idea why I have so great luck with it as I don't know the difference between this and the other programs. But either way, it worked for me.

Okay, gotcha. Looks like that is checked by default.

I just hate wasting discs because these things are like 50 cents or more. That adds up pretty quick when you have a bunch of bad burns.

I'm using "Swiss-GC" on Wii (Wii Swiss Booter in HBC + SD Gecko) for years and am very happy with it, but I always find the same problem: Erratic boot (black screen until the third or fourth attempt).
Use also Nintendont and always starts on the first try.
Probably the problem is "Wii Swiss Booter" ...
Is there any way to improve this?
Thanks in advance.

Have you tried loading the dol with something like loadmii?
Most likely it is the wii swiss booter.
