I also tried to run Swiss from Nintendont (to get better starting with "Wii Swiss Booter"), but only starts the GUI without text (see picture).

Would it be possible Swiss version for Nintendont?
The text issue is probably down you having CMios installed for the Wii Swiss Booter, have you tried with dios-mios?

You can boot the Swiss iso with fix94s Dios-Mios booter if that's any help, I'm using it atm as a alternative to the CMios / Wii Swiss Booter method. My biggest gripe with Nitendon't is it doesn't allow you to launch gamecube DOLs just ISO, this is why I prefer using Swiss to boot gc homebrew as you can browse / launch a mounted dvd full of homebrew / emulators etc.

Might be worth trying different apploaders with Nintendont, possibly using an sdload iso to load swiss from sdgecko instead.

loadMii gave me the same result as you with Nitendon-t no text.

1- Wii Swiss Booter boot with black screen frequently. Nintendont always starts fine.
2- Nintendont allowed to use other controllers, plus GC-controller.
3- Some games work on Swiss and not on Nintendont.
4- I have much appreciation for your great work in Swiss and do not want to quit.

Thanks for the reply.

It's not going to work, Nintendont looks for specific patterns of code to patch which won't match homebrew programs.

In that case, would have to wait Nintendont supports Homebrew.

Just get a way to boot GameCube homebrew on your Wii if you're that desperate and boot Swiss that way. It's always going to have major issues trying to make it work through Nintendont and for them to add support for Swiss will be a major change.

I was wondering if any of you could help me out.
I have an SDML and I'm trying to use swiss to boot Smash Bros. Melee. I know this particular game is known to work, as I am trying to load a patched iso and the process has been described on smashboards, a smash website. Anyway, I have a 2GB SanDisk SD, formatted in FAT, and I have loaded 2 versions of the nightly builds (r296 and r294). I have also used swiss .3 that is packaged with gcos 1.5. All of these have led to the same result. The game executes, loading to 33% and skipping to 100%, I encounter a green screen, then a black screen, and the loading does not progress from there. I have also tried defragging the SD, loading in compatibility mode in v.3 and nothing has worked. Also, the nightly builds seem to run much slower than the original v.3 in the loading screen. Is this normal? Is there something I'm missing in this process?

Edit: Also, the nightly builds don't recognize the SD at all. It simply goes back to the boot method selection screen when I attempt to load from SD.

Your SD card does not like 32MHz by the sounds of it. Try another SD card please.

I resolved the problem by manually changing the speed to 16MHz before you even posted lol.
However, what SD card do you recommend for good load times, because I'm looking to buy, regardless.

Class4 and above should work fine without any stutter,
class2 gives you stutter,
class6 is more than enough,
class10 and above is overkill.

no compiled distribution will be available for r298
updates to swiss source code are currently in progress and until all these updates have been completed there might not be any newer version posted during this brief transition

current version release is still r296

Does Rebel Strike PAL works? It gets stuck in the first disclaimer screen.

Yeah, use Devolution or nintendon-t since you're on a Wii.

Can you upload gcms made GCRebuilder instead
of ones built with the older tools that included the rock ridge, joliet, e l torito filesystems.

Thanks, didn't know those, although I can't use them (I'm on HBC 1.0.7). I guess I will keep playing on Dolphin.

Update your HBC man! there's nothing gained staying on an older version.

1.0.7 should be new enough anyway.

Hello guys.
I am still looking forward to play baten kaitos origins on my Gamecube.
Disk 1 is still recognized as disk 2 by the latest Swiss version

I tried to fstfix the disk 1 with the "t s g" parameter but didn't fix the lags/freezes with rev 94.

Any news on that topic ?

Have a nice day
