yeah just tried to download it from an other PC and now it works.

ok just tried R24 instead of R2. Installation still doesnt work. same error with cant detect free amount of space or something. Besides that that games that worked with R2 now dont work with R24. So I think I will stay at R2 for the moment.

The GUI/game overview has FAT/32 code.
The actual ingame-Swiss-code has no filesystem support at all. It simply starts reading from an assigned offset, and forwards the read calls to their assigned offset+start adjustment. That's why the games can not be fragmented. (yet)
(Yet again, correct me if I'm wrong. :))

Only game that has worked so far is Super Mario 64, all others won't.
Although right now I don't get a black screen.

to switch discs, read the first post where it talks about using 2 disc games.
Ok I've tested it, it doesn't delete the file anymore, but I still get a black screen after the intro video.

Can you list some games you've been trying? Also, GC or Wii?

With The game " asterix" and the rev24 works perfectly in the gamecube but with the same game and version in wii only have black screen in all the ways. I can play it in my wii with sd boot 0.3 and 0.4 but not with swiss. (use swiss boot 0.2)

All this on Gamecube.

Chibi Robo (PAL), loads the Hz selection screen then stucks at a ablank screen.
Ikaruga (NTSC-Jap), Black screen.
P.N.03 (NTSC) loads the start menu, but when I select "New Game" it stucks on black screen.
Naruto something (NTSC-Jap, the first Naruto Fighting game), loads the intro video with sound problems, then freezes but a buzzing sound (and stays that way).
Havn't tried any others because I don't have a >1gb SD card right now (so yes, 'wiped' games only).

If it helps for anything, I used SRAM modifier to change the Gamecube Language to spanish, though I returned it to english later.

¡Cheers!

Shouldn't be an issue. All I can think of is that my SD code doesn't like your SD Card.. I recommend SanDisk 2GB or larger.

yep same here. i got a Transcend 2GB and a Kingston 2GB and i really gave up on them. Botting dol's is not a problem, but when it comes to whole ISO/GCM files - no chance. Didn't get any to run. Will buy a sandisk later!

Only thing I haven't tried yet. Still haven't been able to play Tales of Symphonia, always get a black screen after the intro video (all other games I tested ran "fine", with some sound glitches)

I tried the pal version with R24 and it seems to work. patching the video to NTSC gives a black screen but i can still hear the main menu music. i use a standard def tv with composite(yellow, white, red) cables. seems like something is wrong with video patching because it worked before on an earlier rev(7 i think).

finally works for me - it was all about the sd card :)
so here's my setup and tests:

SanDisk 8GB SD Card Class 4
ViperGC + SDLoad Plugin -> Swiss 0.1R24

all were loaded via Slot B WiiKey SD adapter with video settings set to Auto

Compatible Mode:
Ikaruga NTSC - slightly hangs some time......totally playable though
Mario Party 7 PAL - very slightly sound problems
Baten Kaitos PAL - green screen, loads after 3 secs. sound/video hangs every 2 minutes...
Conflict Desert Storm NTSC - green screen
Hitman 2 NTSC - green screen

Fast Mode:
Ikaruga NTSC - sound glitches
Mario Party 7 PAL - very slightly sound problems
Baten Kaitos PAL - green screen, loads after 3 secs. sound/video hangs every 2 minutes...
Conflict Desert Storm NTSC - green screen
Hitman 2 - green screen

liquitt, If I'm correct then a green should not be very hard to fix, as it's usually a videomode/patching problem. (I'm not 100% sure, but I remember this is a rule of thumb on the Wii :P)

Also, played Mario Party 4 yesterday with 4 players via Swiss. Everything was working fine! Some very small sound/loading glitches but nothing too noticable. Awesome game. :D

If you're using a Wii in 480p mode, please try a non-progressive mode in the wii system menu and see if you're still getting all those black/green screen issues.

It wasn't obvious to me but how do you do disc ripping? Is it an option under Disc? I tried the Disc menu but nothing happens.

I'm trying to use SD Media Launcher and it doesn't always seem to boot swiss. Not sure where the problem lies yet. Need to experiment some more. Once I get the SDML menu and it shows the swiss.dol, I replace the disc with a real game. I then press A but nothing happens. If I power the GC off/on and try again, it works.

I'm using the latest Swiss from the website.
